Turkiye is a u.s. vassal. All Iran has left to takeout is Turkiye, Saud, and Cyprus bases, which are all operating expired interceptor missiles now. U.S. can barely reach that far into Iran, physically, the jets cannot travel that far and then to safety on a tank of fuel in hostile territory, let alone its a moving target. There are decoy trucks and ships and then the real payload, u.s. would be playing a guessing game. These missiles fit in a standard shipping container or trailer, that are not painted with red x on top, they're discrete. Iran is a global linchpin, there's no way China let's u.s. take Iran, because of the regions oil.

U.S. fighters cannot reach into Iran under combat without nearby airbases/carriers like Turkiye, they don't have the fuel capacity. If Iran takes out the airbases, they take out the offensive. There's several dynamics people overlook with this situation; 1)fighter range under combat condition is very limited, cannot reach into Iran, 2) fuel is very limited, for fighters and destroyers(ships), this is a logistics war. During combat you burn a TON more fuel, jets and destroyers, you have to constantly move fast, and they are flying hundreds of jets at a time to be protected, this is also special fuel. You can also throw in 3.) This equipment(jets) break down. (Jets are needed for bombers to go in too). Once bases are taken out, all they need to do is swarm carriers with cheap drones and occasional missile, then... Israel would likely get wiped off the map. China and Russia are transporting missiles in by land and Caspian sea right now and they're probably killers. That's why nuclear equipped submarines are on standby in the Mediterranean right now.
