  1. I'm on a medication that literally causes chemical lobotomy. It's an antipsychotic for my schizophrenia spectrum disorder. Does anyone here know of a better solution? I've been on it for over a decade. However, I also take collagen hydrolysate and creatine monohydrate every day; I just recently began taking them last month. I had seen clinical studies indicating that collagen peptides can actually change brain structure, which is why I began taking it last month due to the fact that I had suffered brain damage. And I have heard of the multitude of benefits of creatine, which is why I commenced taking it in the middle of last month. In particular, I was interested in its cognitive benefits. It's purported to improve attention, memory, and information processing speed. But I had heard a neurophysiologist by the name of Louisa Nicola say that 5g per day (the dose I am currently on) may not be enough to reap the cognitive perquisites. She said that 10g to 12g per day may be required in order to truly benefit cognitively. I had also read that 0.1g per kg of body weight per day would be sufficient. Anyway, I'm just going to continue my new regimen and see how it goes.
