  1. I'd only tell you this - remote work isn't that dream you were sold, yeah the concept of it might look good at first glance, since we are naturally comfortable creatures and therefore, if you can also work while being comfortable, that's a win-win, right? Well, that's the thing, it is actually lose-lose because now you are tainting your place where you're suppose to be comfortable and chill, with work. Because working from home obviously doesn't mean you can just slack off and do what you like, you have to make the same effort as if you were in work. Plus you have no colleagues to interact with. But thats just my 2 cents
  2. Didn't know my boi Alan was actin sus like that. Damn I was moreso refering to his overall choice of lifestyle which was somewhat unconventional, especially during those times, but that's a... interesting piece of information to know, I guess
  3. I mean, I would imagine so, since you're literaly getting less oxygen to the brain. Which ought to affect your consciousness in a negative way Anomalies do occur and Alan Watts is definitely unnusual even without that
  4. What is it that you are prepping for exactly? There are events that are possible to prepare for (financial crash) and events that are impossible to prepare for and aren't even worth preparing for. It should be obvious that there is at least one such event I'm hinting at, and what that event is. Are you preparing for stage orange neo feudalism that you believe is going to come? Perhaps in that case the best prepping is to become homies with Elon Musk
  5. Well, that's another category of problems that yeah, can be more general and more common for both men and women. But the fact that they get strung along is honestly their problem. They just don't realize how good they're really got it and thus aren't able to exploit the fact that they are women. You could say the same of some men (perhaps including me) that we don't realize our full potential, but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to exploit women the way women exploit men, even if I tried my best. Not even a little bit Its just a bit annoying how women come here and talk mindset and this and that, as if we are the same or are dealing with the same issue. This subsection should be banned for women imo Moreover, only successfull fuckboys and men in successfull long term relationships should be able to give advice here, the rest should just listen until they become one of the above
  6. Yep! Step your game up, servants! Women expect more from us!😄 In all honesty, this is why self improvement for a man and self improvement for a woman are 2 totally different universes, and why this section specifically should be for men only. Because we're the ones in need of advice. Women just come here out of morbid curiousity and/or to silently laugh at our faces
  7. To keep it very short, it is likely because your sense of self is not strong enough. Liberal wokiesm is all about constantly deconstructing supposedly oppressive societal norms, and Leo's stuff is about deconstructing everything, including your ego. How are you supposed to have a strong sense of self if you're constantly focused on faults of your own ego? At some point it should just get strong and rigid and should change very rarely, if ever. That is not to say that a strong sense of self is the only ingredient necessary for charisma, but it is essentially a necessary prerequisite for it. You have to be sure of your own shit otherwise your mind will keep changing at the gust of wind. And ussually conservative people are sure of their own shit. Unlike liberals. As a matter of fact - I'm not sure whether I have seen a single charismatic liberal, that identifies as a liberal, it's always either people who don't care about politics much or a few conservatives who are charismatic
  8. I've been considering allocating part of my investment funds to Bitcoin and/or Ethereum (as long as I can employ a similiar strategy, meaning just sending money regurarly and putting my feet up, waiting patiently) but honestly. I think I'd rather just diversify ETFs I'm investing into rather than do that. And I don't think it's in the interest of goverments nor banks to let Bitcoin replace all fiat currencies, so I don't think that's happenning. So it's always going to be just used for speculation is my bet
  9. Yes, I used them plenty of times in MNORPGs
  10. Many of you like to talk about US and western hegemony supposedly falling, but I'd like to see some hard evidence of that. And even if you have such evidence (with whatever markers you chose to interpret as signs of the supposed fall), remember that there has been no country or empire like US in the history of mankind. No, you cannot compare it to the Roman Empire, nor the Britisch Empire, nor any other empire. Not in terms of available resources, not politically, not geographically. If you think a country that has so many things going for it is in a risk of rapid decline or even not being a superpower anymore, you better have some good evidence
  11. I did not say about anyone absorbing anything, just highlighted something that should be obvious to us all - that there are practically no differences between Canada and USA. And that Canada is essentially US protectorate. Mexico is a bit of a different thing but there, the language and cultural differences are significant. And you could argue some of the Mezo American/South American states were build on former, real, pre existing tribal ethnics, for example Mexico was build on the ruins of Aztecs and Mayans, modern day Peru looks suspiciously similiar to the way Inca empire looked, etc.
  12. Not sure about the other things he said, but I agree with him that Canada would be a complete pushover without US protecting it, as if it was their own country almost. Canada also doesn't really have any homogenous national identity, similiar to US. In a way, if we're being real, what is it that really separates them from each other? They were both british colonies, except that Britain held Canadian territory for a little bit longer than it held America (slash Thirteen Colonies). Is that really enough for a solid national identity to develop? Canada on it's own seems weak and vulnerable. While US doesn't have that same problem
  13. Chances are I'm going to be better off than all of yall who are trying to speculate and time the market, just by regurarly investing into a trustoworthy ETFs for decades and not caring about the topic much, if at all
  14. @Princess Arabia How can your advice be so beyond useless? It genuinely baffles me. I couldn't be saying stuff that is so useless even if I tried. It just feels like you're here to be condescending and appear as wiser than you actually are, all while wrapping it into some psycho spiritual word salad
  15. She aint no sir😂 come on
  16. Yes, I've been seeing this guy often in my Youtube reels. His arguments tend to be pretty non sensical a lot of the times, but how can they not be when you're trying to defend something so indeffensible as Christianity. It would be the same thing as defending Islam, or any other religion. That is not to say that he is a stupid guy necessarily, but you can clearly tell he has to delude himself to a significant degree in order to mantain his christian beliefs I even faintly remember one of his clips where he was trying to explain why God let Jesus die on the cross, it's because it was supposedly a just thing to do because the penalty for evil is death (I guess he meant the evil of non believers?) and Jesus paid that penalty in a form of crucifixion, because God is just. Just think about how non sensical this sounds Some of his arguments that there has to be an inteligent creator because we are an inteligent creation (by "we" I mean everything) are fairly solid, but the thing he doesn't understand is that, why would that creator be some sort of personal entity that cares about us specifically, and cares about our well being, even building places such as "heaven" and "hell" for us. It cannot possibly be a personal entity but he has to believe that, because he's a Christian
  17. Having kids and getting married, these two things function as an insurance against future potential loneliness and isolation, while also giving you a sense of purpose in life. At least that's what they should do, of course there are no guarantees and both your wife and your kids could suddenly leave you alone in a dust. And by loneliness I don't necessarilly mean lack of people you can talk to, because you can always talk to anyone technically, but people you can actually depend on, that is a different story. Being old and not being able to depend on anyone feels like a scary future prospect. I'm certain your "friends" are not people you can depend on (and are friends by a mere circumstance, rotated every few years) If this loneliness problem could be somehow bypassed then I would easilly give up on getting married and having children but since it's not - and since the world can be a cynically cruel place - it's something that has to be a goal of mine
  18. @Nemra Why do you think we don't know what death is? Do you not accept biological death as the true definition of death? Regardless of anything, the bodies we are currently occupying will reach an expiration date some day, whether by the actions of us or nature, doesn't really matter. That should be considered death
  19. Double the entrances, double the fun (All indian accounts are kinda sus, ngl)
  20. It's always fascinating to see the 'if you don't provide evidence, I don't have to believe you' approach—especially when it conveniently ignores that data can be interpreted in multiple ways. Sure, you found an EU-funded study that claims no link between immigration and crime. And naturally, a government body that supports mass migration would be entirely objective in its research, right? Because the EU has been spot-on with all its policies—like the seamless integration of migrants and the economic boom that was promised. Remind me how well that's working out across Europe? As for the U.S., it's great that legal immigrants have lower crime rates than native-born citizens. But comparing them to illegal immigrants or, better yet, to entirely different migrant groups in Europe is a bit of a stretch, don't you think? Just because it works one way in the States doesn’t mean it’s a universal truth. And while we're talking about cherry-picking, it’s amusing how any mention of crime related to migration is instantly labeled as fear-mongering. Of course, questioning mass migration policies must be rooted in xenophobia, right? Couldn’t possibly be about maintaining social order or addressing legitimate concerns. By the way, ever wonder why countries like Poland and Hungary, which have tighter immigration controls, consistently report lower crime rates? But I guess that's just another coincidence we shouldn't read into. Anyway, keep the studies coming. If nothing else, it’s entertaining to see how far we can stretch a narrative without breaking it.
  21. Honestly, I'm not going to bother with linking anything, but I'm pretty sure I would find something if I looked for it. It's just so obvious that the crime increase is real, it's almost common sense. If you think that I should always provide proof for my claims and to justify my arguments, well, I don't really care much for these rules. I care more about the truth, not some bickering How many muslim immigrants from african and middle eastern countries are comming into United States? Not many, certainly significantly less than what Europe took under it's umbrella. And what do you exactly mean by "US born citizens", are there only white people included in that statistic or, are there also black people? I mean, aren't black people kinda commiting at least half if not more of the crimes? I would need to check on that one but I'm pretty sure that's the case. This would then skew the problems with illegal immigration comming from Mexico, no? And the crime rate from these people. You are kinda comparing apples and oranges. There are different kinds of illegal immigrants with different kinds of development and values. You Americans never had to deal with a massive surge of muslim illegal immigration so what do yall really know?
  22. @Emerald You never had to personally suffer or see negative effects of illegal immigration tho. And that "yappy dog" represents a country with a population of several million men AND women, who want to live safe and prosperous lives. It is undeniable that illegal immigration from a certain muslim countries (mostly african and middle eastern ones) correlates with increased levels of crime. These people also tend to be backwards in their development and view of the world, bringing their intolerant religion together with them. Your idealistic worldviews will not change that
  23. Or, on the contrary, maybe that's why women were rarely leaders in history, because when the going gets tough and stuff hits the fan, and there's a need for some emotionally hard things to be done, it is men who are able to set aside their emotions, not women. Poland and all the countries of the central Europe have zero responsibility in creating nor benefitting from European collonialism (not that that's some bulletproof argument, it's moreso used as a guilt tripping tool nowadays, but I can understand the rationale behind it) and therefore I agree that central Europeans certainly shouldn't have to take any refugees from those parts of the world, especially since there is a significant correlation in their presence in western European countries with crime. Now, I don't support any shooting, but Poland absolutely has right not to take any of these migrants, that's for sure undeniable
  24. Religions will always exist because in whichever way you may disprove God, there will always exists parts of reality that are unknown to us, and therefore religions will just put away God into that category. The so called "God of the gap", gap representing lack of our understanding, of course. There is one thing that all religions and science have in common tho, and that is that they have to acknowledge that reality was created by itself, or that basically everything ultimately came out of nothing. Or in whatever way you choose to word that. If you ask a Christian or a Muslim who created God, they'll tell you that God always existed. So God created itself out of nothing basically. If you ask a scientist what caused Big Bang, they'd either tell you they don't know yet, or that it's unknowable because there was nothing, not even time before Big Bang. Again, everything came out of nothing. So we are basically kinda forced to come to terms with that
  25. It's just dissapointing for me to see that humans only tend to have a dual response to everything, we are either too tolerant and accommodating or we become too hostile and defensive. There should be a more nuanced approach to these immigrant crisies, whenever they're happenning, our responses to them should be flexible depending on the situation or the ammount of threat (or lack thereof) immigrants pose to us. Instead we just get drifted out from one side of the political spectrum to the other, making our responses very innefective
