Need arises, or it doesn’t, yes. -

There’s no need to tell yourself you have freedom or are freedom, that’s the point. -

But is a relative right and wrong ever absolutely right and wrong? -

Because there’s a need to say it. Just as there’s always a demand for knowledge for the human mind. -

The sense of “Who” is maintained by a stream of self-referencing thoughts that are based on past conditioning. To question ‘who’ is observing is a demand for knowledge, which can only exist as memory which is not applicable to the eternal present which is unknowing. The most common reference point is a thought-created centre referred to as “I” or “me” / or “self”. There is no such centre and those self-labels refer only to other thoughts, or to some aspect of experience. Asking ‘who’ leads to nowhere but here now. An endless loop. 🔁 -

There is no real entity called “I” -

@James123 You’ve got this. You have a profound understanding of this. Nice to read it here on this forum. 👏💯👍 -

Perfect clarity. ✔️ Yes, “true reality” is not the sense of self, (I) identity, or my belief, or my knowledge, my experience, or mind constructed ego appearances etc. Any claim to ( I know Knowledge) can only point to the illusory nature of reality, and NEVER to the actual “true reality” -

There has never been a single doctrine by which one could enter the true essence of things. Yes, give up “knowing” as there is never actually anything separate to be known; it is only ever the infinite, appearing as such. To “know” something would mean standing apart from it. The infinite has no outside, so there is nothing separate to step back from. What seems finite is only the infinite, misperceived as a boundary. There is no “finite knowing” - infinite only is. 👍 -

Body is born without identity. Body knows how to stay alive without thought or identity. Body life is automatic neutrality. Body does not need a reason or purpose to be alive. Another good starter topic. Thanks for the clarity. 👍 -

So how does unlimited being know it's an unlimited being if it has sense of no form known to itself ? -
Mellowmarsh replied to Terell Kirby's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
This sounds like form is aware of form. Because form for awareness is the only form of reference that is knowable.. it doesn't add up because it's like saying the brain is aware it is a brain, or the body is aware it is a body. This doesn't make sense, to me, anyway. -

Okay, thanks for your response. Would this conscious knowing be immortal in the sense it knows it cannot not exist? -
Mellowmarsh replied to Terell Kirby's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Nobody knows what the experience of being conscious is. We know we’re having the experience of consciousness. But, nobody, no one knows what Consciousness is, and why it disappears during the death of body / brain. -

Is like asking does the sun illuminate itself? What already is doesn’t require to know as what is already is without question. "The sun that illuminates does not illuminate itself" is a metaphor for the nature of ultimate reality, consciousness, or the Self, which acts as the source of knowledge and awareness but is not an object to be observed itself. It suggests that the source of light (or awareness) does not need to shine upon itself to know its own existence; it simply is. -
