  1. The US dietary guidelines underwent a radical transformation - literally flipping the food pyramid upside down after 40+ years of grain-based recommendations. Key Changes: Ultra-processed foods now identified as primary driver of 90% of chronic disease Protein recommendations dramatically increased: from 0.8g/kg to 1.2-1.6g/kg body weight (65g → 98-131g daily for 180lb person) Focus shifted from grains/carbs (old: 6-11 servings daily) to real, high-quality foods and animal protein Moved away from calories-in/calories-out model What's Missing: No mention of insulin resistance (the root cause of most chronic disease) No discussion of meal frequency or intermittent fasting Saturated fat still capped at 10% (problematic since restricting it pushes people toward seed oils) Definition of "food" remains legally-based (anything edible with shelf life) rather than biologically-based (sustains life, repairs tissue) Implementation Challenge: Over 50% of current calories come from ultra-processed foods - entire supply chains built around them will need restructuring. Bottom line: Major win in targeting ultra-processed foods and increasing protein, but incomplete without addressing insulin resistance and eating frequency.
  2. @Emerald She always loved to quote the dietary guidelines, she is going to have a seizure 🤣 The Old vs. New Pyramid Structure: Old Guidelines (pre-2026): Foundation/base = grains and carbohydrates (6-11 servings daily) The entire pyramid was built on carbs being the largest food group Recommended low-fat, low-cholesterol, low saturated fat Protein recommendations were minimal (0.8g/kg body weight) New Guidelines (2026): Literally inverted - what was at the bottom is now minimized, what was at the top is now prioritized Real, whole foods (not processed) are now the foundation High-quality animal protein (specifically mentioned: red meat) is emphasized - not plant-based alternatives Carbohydrates/grains are no longer the dietary foundation Ultra-processed foods explicitly targeted as harmful What This Means Practically: Instead of building meals around pasta, bread, rice, cereals (the old base), you now build around: Meat, fish, eggs (animal proteins) Whole, unprocessed foods Dramatically less processed carbohydrates The speaker emphasizes they didn't just "tweak numbers" - they fundamentally changed which foods form the foundation of a healthy diet. After decades of "eat more grains, less meat/fat," they've essentially reversed that recommendation.
  3. For Trump it doesn’t matter. You are not white.
  4. They used Syria has a pawn to drag down Russian sources. They will use the Iran for the same reason. I don’t think they care about brown people so I’m astonished how naive people are.
  5. Look at Syria and how long it took for regime change while opposition got all the help from the US. Iran is far more powerful than Syria.
  6. Maduro got sold by his own army. So people think that can happen everywhere. Iran's establishment is to rigid for this to happen. Protestors are going to do their best but they will be crushed.
  7. What is even the difference between meditation and pranayama? I thought pranayama was meditation lmao
  8. It is so enjoyable how he tears feminism a new one in this video haha definitely worth the watch.
  9. There are different kind of richness. Richness is knowledge or material stuff or richness in spirituality. Some richness have higher degree of order and it downloads onto the lower plains like the material sphere. To be succesful human we need a good balance of these realms.
  10. What do you guys think? We are going towards an age that AI is allowed to copy everyting. Do you think we need to think different about author's rights since we all stand on the shoulders of giants who had no author's rights ?
  11. That lesbian wife is in a world of trouble. I think the ICE agent is pretty much safe. But the wife will probably sued for felony.
  12. You have no idea how badly trained law enforcement is in other countries. I'm no fan of Trump but the US has the best police officers in the world in terms of training. In my country police can barely shoot a gun and they wouldn't be able to survive a day in the US. The problem of the US is that everbody has guns so police have to act different than in countries where guns are banned.
  13. 6 months earlier the police officer almost died because somebody else thought it is funny to almost crush him...
  14. The phone you are holding right now 🤣
  15. All holes have dustfilters besides the back. I'm still looking for a solution to find a fitting dust filter for the back. But then again I don't have a lot of dust in my room and below my desk I have an air purifier that cleans the air from dust and so on.
  16. They are bulky. Get hot. Make noise like a chopper. Look unprofessional. I mean who wants to walk around with that during a meeting? And they wear down very quickly. It is much better to have a desktop at home and then use Remote Desktop. You can have a clean small laptop for on the go and use the desktop for heavy work loads and gaming if you need to.
  17. This clarifies a lot, she was acting so dangerous
  18. It is like the force in Star Wars. Every Yoda has a different connection to it while the force remains the same.
  19. Psychics do exist but they come with different features. I’m one too.
  20. His leg got almost crushed. If somebody almost crushes my leg that person is going lit.
  21. @LordFall @something_elseok I hear you. I’m just curious what the court will say about this. But I’m afraid the topic will age like a glass of milk.
  22. Obviously it was, her case is not going to uphold in court
  23. @Kid A @something_else it was a slippery road surface, it was very irresponsible of her to act so reckless, that one guy could have easily have his leg crushed. The thing is that being police is a very difficult job because they are putting their lives in danger for stupid people's safety. I can imagine that guy's flight and fight being activated on that slippery ice. I mean I would never do that job but if somebody tries to crush my leg you are going to catch some bullets. No way a court is going to sue that ICE. It is very unfortunate for that woman and I hope her gf and family the best. Obviously she was going through a lot with divorce and kids but this was not the moment to have a hissy fit with slippery ice in the mix. Some people don't have a clue that cars can be dangerous weapons and things go so fast that after the fact it is easy to judge but in that moment you don't know what could happen with such a fast heavy object moving on ice.
  24. @FourCrossedWands only the back didn’t come with a dust filter. Probably because the back is the outflow. Up, down and front does have a dust filter.
  25. Being rich is an addiction too. That is why rich people will show same symtomps of an addict when they lose their money. People who are use to poverty are addicted to that state of mind too. And will show the same behavior of an addict when you confront them with it: being in denial, victim mindset, emotional and aggressive. Go try it yourself. It will blow your mind. This explained well in the book think and grow rich.
