You guys!!!! I'm still hiking through this puzzle of inquiry into the nature of context. Guess what I found down here? I found infinity!!!! Look! What is Context? Context is not a thing, it's not some ultimate backdrop to everything. Context is the fabric of existence itself. It's not static, context isn't found in reality. Context is an infinite eyeball of every possible infinite perspective happening right now! There is no overarching backdrop to existence. Every point in consciousness already contains every other point as potential context. This puts language and communication in their place because they're only one slice of this intelligent relational field of potential context.

@UnbornTao Im willing to propose that language is not needed for communication. What if language is actually further away from actual communication. What if language is an indirect subset of actual communication. If I show you a nectarine, obviously we both hear and say the word "nectarine" and we'll probably both have ideas and past presumptions about nectarines, how it tastes to us and if we're in the mood or hungry to eat it and what it means to us. But once you take it from my hand without speaking, and you taste it with me, now there is a shared experience that is closer to raw reality not using words or symbols. Handing you the nectarine and tasting it conveys the full sensory reality. The texture, taste and juiciness. This bypasses symbols entirely. It captures something that words can never.

I have nothing against AI. I see it as a supplement and a tool to further ones curiosity and contemplations, but I am very careful as to not think that AI can just hand me an existential insight. You still have to go through the formula in your own mind because there's no shortcut in this work. Whether you reach the finish line with AI is irrelevant to having a direct consciousness of Truth. I'm not disagreeing with what you're saying I'm just simply adding and dovetailing with it my perspective.

Basically you have a semiotic view? Communication is by definition symbol use. That language is a necessary condition for communication. I'm pointing to a different register. Communication can happen without mediation. Like when a baby cries and I sense it's distress, there's no symbol processing, just an immediate resonance. The communication is not about something, it is something. It's the raw experience itself shared in simultaneity. If you define communication as symbolic transmission, then yes language is necessary. But if you see communication as shared Being then language is only one modality and not necessary. Think about it. A baby doesn’t come preloaded with mom means X. The baby resonates with tone, touch, vibe and direct nonsymbolic communication. language rides on communication, not the other way around. Direct communication = Being resonating with itself

Your saying that Real Communication is not possible without the context of language? What is the true nature of Language? Is it possible that language isn't limited to our current understanding of language especially when our understanding of language is within a certain node of what all of language could be? That's a radical possibility. I get what you mean which is within this context of language that makes it possible for me to understand and write back, but I would propose that there is something at the root of communication and experience, which is Direct Consciousness of Truth Independent of mediums, language, context or symbols and is not dependent on procces nor other.

Hey, I had a similar situation with my two brothers, I'm the middle child and I would always get into arguments with my little brother and my older brother and I was in a similar situation as you. It got to the point where me and my brothers fought physically and resulted in one of my brothers throwing a glass mug at my arm causing a huge laceration that tore through my tendons and caused a lifelong injury. The only thing that really helped me out was reading the best emotional mastery books that you can find and go watch Leo's older episodes on dealing with people and dealing with your emotions at a root level solution. Just accept that you will be very angry, don't guilt Trip, attend and self soothe yourself and forgive yourself and your brother. Just practice forgiving yourself and your brother without needing your brother to step up and forgive you. Your brother is not a bad person he is like you said, unfolding through karma, this is a huge opportunity for you to put your spirituality and your maturity on the line in real time. Just reflect on what happened and try to forgive and let go even if you can't. Like a snakes skin, it will shed in time but don't force it. Try to reframe the situation, think about how much you love your brother even if you hate him. Try to get to a point where you're just filled with so much love and consciousness that you even forgive the hurt that you feel and the pain and anger that you feel stirred up within you. Your brother is not a bad person and you are not a bad person for reacting to his nonsense. Practice sometime imagining your death and your brother's death. Imagine what it would feel like if he died tomorrow, just imagine you giving him a hug and loving the shit out of him even if he doesn't change. Take it moment by moment, don't try to rush yourself to be in a calm peaceful state. Your already doing the work, your in the fire, your skins in the game. And also remember,,, this to shall pass.

@Natasha Tori Maru That's a sharp insight! Yes, it's holographic. Basically foreground is a selection of the background. The figure and the field go together. The background is the unlit field that is illuminated by attention and gives rise to meaning relationally. This is a really sticky philosophical knot. But what is Context??? It leads to an infinite regression. Or in Zen, we call it the Groundless Ground. @Carl-Richard Yes! context isn't reducible to language, and language is not the root of context. Your example with emotions is good. But! Is anything really being transferred? Think about it. There is this field of Being, yes? Then it's not like my anger enters and transfer directly to you about my anger without symbols, but that there is this field of Being. In that field, what we call you and me are local organizations. My anger and your feeling of my anger are just the same phenomenon arising in different relational perspectives of that field.

What is the true nature of context?

The cake of consciousness and reality is massive. You basically stuffed yourself with reality lol. I felt the same exact way 6 years ago was my last mushroom and LSD trip. It was way to intense and plus I have my life purpose to integrate aswell

The distinction between inside and outside dissolves and what remains is universal rather than personal. This ties into context, context not being one or the other but both simultaneously. You couldn't have a context without content. It's like our whole language system relies on linguistics and communication that is limited to words, definition or concepts rather than visual which is less ambiguous and clear or some other rather direct conscious communication

All James wants is attention and validation of it's ideas. Much like a child needing someone to see them perform something because the feeling of confirmation, validation and attention is a deficiency need coated in neo advaita.

What I love about this forum so much is that you can connect with like-minded people that are on similar paths. Also you can reference and read about other people's trip reports, very good for mapping out the psychedelic experience by fellow voyagers and there are gems, gold nuggets in every category on this forum. You can learn from other people's foolishness and contribute your voice and ideas to a tight community.

Okay now were talking. Good stuff, seems simple but approaching the overlooked obvious from an epistemic foundation of questioning and investigation reveals a huge gap in our awareness and understanding. Now the question is, what is this background? Also the foreground cannot be without the background, and vice versa. Now we're talking non duality. The union of separation and unity. If Context metaphorically is the background that determines the foreground, then what can determine the background or context?

The ultimate context is consciousness itself. But it's not what you think, Consciousness is not a thing. It's not even the idea of Nothing.

Context is the entire web of existence! There is no outside context, it's the whole game. You are part of it, your not separate looking at it. Context is a field, a massive web of infinite possible distinctions all in a impossibility space if that makes sense

That's still within an experiential context, the sound and the feeling, or the slap and the sting. It's context dependent on their being sense organs to experience a slap, sound, feeling and sting. A context doesn't have to be a story or many stories, it could be the unnoticed background that hums of experience

Thailand would definitely be great per I would cut the skateboarding and just stick to kickboxing and Muay Thai out there. But also I'm very skeptical of the lady boys that are out there lol
