I guess I can toss you a few angles here. Of course different nuances apply.. if they were raised into the religion or converted, if they genuinely follow the rules prescribed by their religion or merely put on a self-serving religious mask. The most obvious, is that they may have some level of social religious enmeshment. Meaning for them Islam could be heavily involved in their work, familial, social, and even societal life. Realistically on the strange chance one of them could be convinced by your arguments.. the other likely won't take to it, so that would be their marriage at stake too. The truth is that they are already comfortable in their way of living and they don't have any harsh enough punishing circumstances pushing on their beliefs. You will not win in them with some logic level debate because what is holding this together isn't logic. Giving any of this up could bring painful conflict with loved ones, potential questions about how to make a living and surviving, hell a full blown crisis that would take years and decades to integrate. Just very uncomfortable when many do not even seek out slight discomfort willingly. It is likely that their religion is the frame through which all of reality. Imagine everything flipped on its head!? You will need something heavy to break the rationalizing power of religion. A less talked about but interesting point I think, is that they are still prone to experiencing synchroneities as much as anyone else. AKA those divine "coincidences" that will be interpreted directly through their religion and viewed as strong evidence for them following the true faith when ya'know.. anyone can get them, across religious or non-religious belief systems. If they are to be pushed from the faith it would take some great circumstances beyond you. Like a falling away or replacement of the mentioned social forces in their life. Or an incredible tragedy and crisis that would push them to the brink. But of course, nothing is linear or predictable. All these circumstances could have the reverse effect of making them even MORE religious or cause no change at all. Since they are probably older they're even less likely to change with so much crystalized life experience and deep stories about the world, whereas younger people whose stories, identities, and lifestyles are much less solid and could be more open to change. -

Like an alternate reality where life revolves around religious study. A village left in a time capsule, could your mind escape if you were forced to memorize the entire Quran by age 9 and the entire community around you had such a focus on religion? Yet the community seems as solid as their dedication to scripture. To maintain discipline, to be pious. (English subtitles) Channel seems to be a gem of niche Arab country/cultural content. Journalism that isn't just from such an outsider western perspective that gets more personal in its story telling. Will be interested to watch more of his videos. -

Thank fucking goodness. Hope like hell he is successful in all that he does so that we may finally get something other than pendulum swings between conservative populist hell and super mid nothingburger establishment democrats. Of course, he will be public enemy number #1 of the establishment and anyone with power. The amount of pearl clutching and blocking that will occur + coming to office in an actively hostile federal administration. Hard to say I'm particularly optimistic through my shell of cynicism. I'm just glad that something actually interesting and different is happening in America's largest city. Even if he fails at least he made it and tried something. -
I've always heard of this phenomenon occuring and wondered why. Seemingly average and fine person suddenly hits an absolute personality 180. All because they're sliding down a pipeline to some nonsense.. QAnon.. toxic red pill content.. they come out the other side completely alienating all their former friends/family members with their actions/behaviors. Curious to know what you guys think. I'm definitely just starting my rabbit hole on this one- so any directions to explore would be much appreciated.

Well, those are certainly some good intentions! I do not know what you know. But from the outside looking in, I'm not so sure many people here are going to be converted. Of course you're seeing something else here. I'm sure you'll give it a shot. But wouldn't it be better to share with those already like-minded in the faith to you? And build them up? If you aren't already doing that. Sometimes I take the piss, sometimes I try to realize I'm an idiot, and sometimes I try to be helpful. -

@MellowEd Genuine question. What is your intention and what do you hope to accomplish posting on this forum? -

NAAAAAH. This shit is AMUSING as fuck and weirdly optimistic. -
Dating apps are so skewed because mostly men are on them anyways. It's just the path of least resistance so of course people will take them even less seriously. Any pilled videos that reference dating apps honestly need to touch grass, it's giving a narrow perspective. I think it becomes a toxic trap with guys that are chronically online. If they buy into the 20% narrative- then they've got a toxic idea imprinted in them before even going out into the world. They'll make assumptions off faulty data.

This just came up in my recommended. Absolute accidental journalism! He managed to film on the grounds of the parliamentary building as it was being destroyed. Really gives an unfiltered view into the raw mob chaos and emotions on the ground. -
The channel I used on my journey. Honestly the biggest gems aren't even his content, it's the books he recommends. He's gone very deep into reading everything shadow work related and applying it to himself/his business, so he's done the heavy lifting there for you. https://youtube.com/@jordanthornton?si=uVfKCLzJD9STtMue You can search "Jordan Thornton book recommendations" and many more recommendation videos will come up. Or look for a video title/topic you're interested in, there will probably be recommendations there as well!

But why though? What's there? I suppose that may be the thing you could learn most from here, eh? Not from the forum but your reaction to it with this stuff. Funny how you ignore the one genuine inquiry in the thread- instead choosing to engage the people flinging shit back at you for the games you're playing. Tells me all I need to know. Almost convinced me you were open enough to consider things there for second- But no. You just want to fling shit, don't you? Enjoy the taste of turd shrapnel. -

Meh. Just more rage bait. Have fun engaging if you want but it's not gonna go anywhere useful. Not sure why you feel the need to come here and preach anyways OP. If you really knew what's up, why would you care to at all? Why haven't you just logged off, ay? Now you're going to waste your time here debating. What's it about OP? But yes- everyone besides you doesn't know the truth. Everyone else isn't awakened like you!! They're just nonsense!! So obvious something isn't quite right with you, mate. But these words won't do anything will they! So good luck with that and may you have a nice evening.
