You can say sex is arbitrary and different from gender, but how would you know that's not an arbitrary and meaningless belief in itself? Just because a lot of people agree on something, doesn't make them right. The entire planet can agree on something and be wrong. I think people can pretend to be whatever they want, but don't force me to believe whatever you want me to believe. -

Things tend to be paradoxically "both and neither". And yes language is a construction, but it not required for understanding. When you truly know a thing it is underneath the level of language. The fact that we can find meaning and homeostasis, things that work at the time, even at lower levels of evolution, show that reality is not completely arbitrary. There is meaning and understanding at the subjective level and not-knowing at the absolute level. -
It was a road trip 4-aco gummy. Those things hit. Would highly recommend. Also if you don't feel like tripping, just wait for the right time. It could be months, but you'll usually know if it's time. It could also be said that you will never be fully ready and now is a good a time as ever. Balance those at your discretion.

I asked ChatGPT and Grok which one is better. They both said themselves. Even though they are bots, their programming reflects the political bias of the environment in which they were created and is a direct metaphor to point of view bias - you don't know what you don't know. Although I will say - Grok is further right than ChatGPT is left. It's unhelpful to think of politics in perfectly symmetrical polarities, I think usually the true answer to problems takes multiple points of view into account and is never a hard right or hard left, nor perfectly in the middle. There is no completely pure, untainted knowledge coming from anyone on this planet so to assume your one source is the right one is the same as saying your one religion that you grew up with and is the only thing you have ever known is absolutely correct.

I think we have a lot of common ground - I would further your argument by saying there is a logos and understandability to reality - and that is one of the deepest existential topics you can contemplate - as Einstein said, "The most incomprehensible thing about the universe is that it is comprehensible." -

Buddha taught that karma is how the architecture or imprint of mind transfers from one life and creates the next. In other words, the state or quality of your mind when you die directly transfers over and generates the next experience. It's not that action=consequence, rather action=long term imprinting on your own mind that generates the next "house" or reality you will live in. It's like dreaming at night - whatever your mental state was before crossing over greatly influences your dream and its rules. He said beings could be sent to hell realms for this reason, not by way of hanus acts being wrong in and of themselves. The lowest of which, Avīci, he said to last unimaginable yet not infinite time spans. Beings sent there, were not sent, but rather their own minds dreamt that hell realm after a previous life of committing atrocities which conditioned it into that state. Karma is said by Buddha to take an extremely long time to exhaust, which is why the punishment feels unproportionate to the crime. In the Pāli Canon, he says "This existence is a disease, a boil, a dart". He also claims it is not safe to be here due to the hell realms that can last for 10^40^40 years (that's the modern number, but in his words it was something like "the amount of time it takes to wipe out a mountain if you wipe it with a rag every 100 years".) For this reason liberation/ending of the rebirth cycle should be sought. -
Omen or nah?

After 100+ dmt trips and two breakthroughs, I've concluded that somehow it has a lot to do with how reality is constructed. Most trips are more or less similar - rapid, chaotic, inner parts of your subconscious playing out at lightspeed, but every now and then something will happen that shocks you. A smile will spiral from across the room and land on your face, an 8k shooting star with a kaleidoscope stream slowly shoots across your room, you travel to an alien universe where they connect you to their "internet" and suddenly you can understand everything they say, you're able to control the decor and arrangement of your room with your mind instantly like it's the sims - all of these things have happened me, but the craziest part is the aliens. They appear to have hyper-human intellects. As real as things feel in the third dimension, it feels equally real or realer in the dmt dimension (which I think is just a brain link to higher dimensions/aliens. If you've done a sufficient dose of it you would know that it's not just the intensity of the experience - something is really going on with dmt that constructs our reality. My hypothesis is that higher dimensional beings have a play in creating our reality in the third dimension. And yes of all this can be possible within solipsism. If you were a celestial being or advanced alien and had a good sense of humor and wanted to tease humans because you thought they were cute going into dmt through quantum entanglement or some advanced nanotechnology would be a great way to do it. I'm just sayin'.

I listened to Osho fervently for years, I didn't find out he was a perv cultist until after I got tired of him, but here's the best tip I got from him, from his book of secrets - Do not move your eyes. If you keep them still, you can turn everything you see into one solid block. That's nonduality. It's amazing that nobody just lays it out this clearly if they already have it but here it is. I was walking in central park when I had my first "oh shit, awakening is real" experience. I was in a meditative-like trance from walking 5+ miles and when I stopped moving my eyes, I saw all of the reality in front of me as a horizontal flame of light, like an unsheathing of God's sword. The best way I can explain it is my field of view slightly increased, I was acutely aware of the edges/ blackness surrounding my visual field and the strange loop or NONLOCALITY of experience became obvious. The "turn it into a solid" comes from Fred Davis - sometimes it's difficult to distinguish noise from real truth with him but that was the most instantly awakening pointer I've ever heard, as well as the "keep your eyes still" tip. If you keep your eyes still constantly around other people you'll look like a weirdo, so make sure to just do it in your private/meditative time.

When I do DMT I found a simple way to increase the visuals is to close my eyes and push in on my eyes with my fingers. Not to the point of pain, but a certain amount of pressure on your retinal receptors stimulates them and you get a ton of visuals. This can be done while falling asleep too. -
Agreed, the whole concept of a civilized society is to transcend pure barbarian survival instincts into higher domains. Sadly humanity today overinflates how much we have actually done that.

It's a complex mating ritual. If it didn't work for 200,000+ years, it wouldn't be a viable survival strategy. By saying something like "I don't find you attractive/like you but I still want to fuck you" you are almost guaranteeing an insta no from the girl. It's a sad reality, but one deeply encoded into male instincts.

Yes the local self is not even there but we always need to be careful not to collapse relative and absolute into one thing. Your human self thinks and operates in the world on a relative level, so it makes sense to instill thought patterns that strengthen the nervous system. Meanwhile the higher self imagines everything, so the universe is not "doing anything" to you. You're doing things to you. -

Right. It's all imaginary. But since this is your only frame of reference it feels like you are a person in a world. -
Your profile quote goes amazingly with this comment haha. It was predetermined that some things will not be determined! Haha. I got bored at season 3, maybe I should go back.

The screen analogy is really deep, and yeah high dose shrooms get you really deep inside your mind. It's like a factory reset. -
This was when I was around 10, at my friend's house who I still consider one of the smartest people I know. We were discussing "what if my consciousness is the only one" (we had never heard of the term solipsism/religions pointing to it) as an interesting and plausible idea. It was one of the earliest existential crises for both of us, but something peculiar happened. I said "_______ (his sister) could knock on the door right now" (meaning if this was true). Not more than one second after I said that, KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK. We both panicked and she asked what was going on and we said nothing. Whether you believe something paranormal was going on or not, this would spook anybody. This was probably the main event of my childhood that really intrigued me to solipsism. I used to believe in coincidences, but after that I stopped. To this day I believe every thought you have manifests itself in reality in some shape or form, and I probably wouldn't believe that if not for this event.

For me synchronicity ties into solipsism. It gets into - if this string of events just happened in my mind, how is it possible that this thing just happened in physical reality? Every moment becomes a miracle from that point on. -
It's nice when the creator of a show knows what the plot is going to be and plans out the whole show in advance, as opposed to not knowing the answers to the mysteries at the start and coming up with them on the fly based on popularity and consumer interest. Take Lost for example - s1 - fantastic, seems like it's building up to so much, then s2 hits and you realize "wait they're just improvising the plot".

I think the 4th dimension is a folding of the third like a sheet and is made up of "hot spots" or important parts from the third dimension - i.e. a sheet of bubble wrap becomes something profound in the 4th dimension. Imagine if the universe was dissected for its most informationally dense parts used into a new higher universe. That's just my crackpot theory, but it's based on experience. Psychs show you how mind is the bedrock of reality and creates everything. Also 20gs? Was that dry? Jesus -
I was watching Leo's video "The Counter Intuitive Nature of Life" and was thinking man I can probably find a lot of examples of these in my daily life. Sure enough within one day I find one. When you watch YouTube videos, it's counter-intuitive to watch at 1x instead of 1.5x or 2x - reason being, you'll soak up much more information when you have more time to process the words. It's like listening to a piece of music on 2x - you might absorb some raw information, but you're missing all of the profundity. Let me know if you've found any additional examples on top of Leo's video.

Watching movies is great on low dose psychedelics, I just picked the wrong movie. Most of my tripping is deep inner work, I just like to mix it up with something lighter every now and then.
-
I watched it on ketamine and it was traumatizing haha

God makes you suffer and gaslights you on a regular basis - think about it - if God were truly good in a human sense of the word, we would have perfect lives and never have to endure any suffering. We would be in heaven 24/7. I know Leo makes the claim that we're just "not seeing the big picture" here but I care to disagree. I think that's a crock of shit. If God really was a perfect miracle we wouldn't have to suffer. It's that simple.
