  1. Nahm, Am I stable enough to know the difference? Yes, I am. I already know myself sufficiently to know that I'm not what you think I am. The truth about oneself is not out there, it's within. Being real is NOT about ceasing to exist, but about being in relationship. The Holy Spirit of God, is out there and in me, and all who are one in Christ. We belong one to another, as well as to Him and vice versa. Andrea.
  2. Conrad, My God doesn't play hide and seek. Does yours? Yes. If I was God, then I could hardly hide from myself, now could I? Let go of your muddled thinking. Andrea
  3. I've never read the Bible in my sleep. That's impossible.
  4. Conrad, There is only one Elohim of God and we're not them. But keep searching.... Andrea
  5. Why do people here have such a problem with the self / ego? Here is the definition for ego taken from www.OxfordDictionaries.com: Definition of ego in English: EGO Noun 1 A person's sense of self-esteem or self-importance. 1.1 Psychoanalysis: The part of the mind that mediates between the conscious and the unconscious and is responsible for reality testing and a sense of personal identity. 1.2 Philosophy: (in metaphysics) a conscious thinking subject. Origin: Early 19th century: from Latin, literally ‘I’.
  6. Abrakamowse The correct approach is to read the Bible with a simple childlike, yet not childish, perspective. There's no need to complicate things by obsessing about "the consciousness" and "the ego" or "self", and / or interpreting it through the lens of some other religious belief system, e.g. hinduism - "there is nothing but God ", Buddhism, etc. There's nothing mystical about true Christianity. Andrea
  7. 123456789, Logic is 2 + 2 = 4. Is that the truth? Yes. If logic is imaginary, then we end up doubting the reality of all things, like the confused souls here. I'm not sure how reliable scientific models are for predicting the future, because on average around 40% of theories have been proved to be true over a period of several decades. So that leaves roughly 60% of theories disproved and unproven. There's plenty of room for opinions, both so-called "educated guesses", and uneducated guesses. That makes life fun! Andrea
  8. All, I am honest with people. I tell the truth as it is, but fruitless theological contentions don't appeal to me. I'm a soul-lover, but I'll never change my beliefs and view of reality. I am a Christian realist. Andrea
  9. Abrakamowse, I really think that you should pursue the Truth for yourself. I can't do it for you. It's between you and your Creator, just as it's between me and Him. Happy searching.... Andrea
  10. I don't need to explore any further because I know the Truth, and His name is Jesus Christ.
  11. Jesus was referring to the false belief of their ancestors that they were somehow "gods". In reality not so.
  12. The answers to your questions are in the Holy Bible. You need to seek the guidance of its divine author. Be open to Him, and He will show you.
  13. Serotoninluv, You've no need to worry. I've been mindful for a long, long, long, long, long........long time Thanks. Andrea
  14. @Nahm I already have. But thank you anyway.
  15. zerolSinfinity, I've already been awakened. Thank you. I fear not who I am. I've known myself all my life. Abrakamowse has been telling me his own interpretation of the Truth, according to what he wants me to believe, because he thinks that he knows what he's talking about. I made that mistake in the past. I've since moved on.... Andrea
  16. Anton, Do I believe in the Truth? Yes. Do I believe in the false "truths" spoken by those people who don't know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior? No. The truth about something isn't determined by how one "feels" about it, or even necessarily what one "thinks". What I understand about life in general is according to what the Holy Spirit of God has taught me through the Holy Bible, relationships with others, and the use of wisdom. I don't need to pretend to be that which I'm not. Therein lies madness. We all desire and need balance to be healthy in life.... Andrea
  17. He NEVER created in people the desire to hurt the innocent. You haven't read the scripture in its proper CONTEXT. Try again.
  18. Abrakamowse, God isn't one with everything. There would be no suffering in this world, IF that was the case. I agree with the denial of the old, wicked, nature within oneself through the personal, SPIRITUAL REHABILITATION made possible ONLY through fellowship with the Father, by the enabling power of His Spirit, and in the name of Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son. Christ NEVER taught that we should deny our very existence as human individuals, loved by the Father who sent Him into the world to die for us. John 3 (NKJV) tells us: The New Birth There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.” Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.” Nicodemus answered and said to Him, “How can these things be?” Jesus answered and said to him, “Are you the teacher of Israel, and do not know these things? Most assuredly, I say to you, We speak what We know and testify what We have seen, and you do not receive Our witness. If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things? No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.” John the Baptist Exalts Christ After these things Jesus and His disciples came into the land of Judea, and there He remained with them and baptized. Now John also was baptizing in Aenon near Salim, because there was much water there. And they came and were baptized. For John had not yet been thrown into prison. Then there arose a dispute between some of John’s disciples and the Jews about purification. And they came to John and said to him, “Rabbi, He who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have testified—behold, He is baptizing, and all are coming to Him!” John answered and said, “A man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from heaven. You yourselves bear me witness, that I said, ‘I am not the Christ,’ but, ‘I have been sent before Him.’ He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice. Therefore this joy of mine is fulfilled. He must increase, but I must decrease. He who comes from above is above all; he who is of the earth is earthly and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all. And what He has seen and heard, that He testifies; and no one receives His testimony. He who has received His testimony has certified that God is true. For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure. The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into His hand. He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.” Happy searching.... Andrea
  19. Abrakamowse, Jesus said that He was in the Father, and the Father was in Him, because the fullness of the Father was in Him, i.e. the Holy Spirit of God. The God of the Holy Bible is the Father, the Son who is Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. If the Holy Spirit lives in you, then you are in Christ. The Devil is more than just an ego. He's a fallen angel. Lucifer was his name, and rebellion toward God was his aim.... God bless. Andrea
  20. Not a pointer at all. Only Jesus Christ is the great I AM. You are not qualified to make such a claim about yourself.
  21. Good question. I've often asked myself that. The interesting thing that's worth noting is the fact that it's not only you and I who believe the truth about something, or not, but also the scientific community, criminal court juries, and others. Jesus Christ said: "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one can come to the Father except through Me." Do you believe Him? I do. Can I prove that it's true? No. And yet I know.... Andrea
  22. Anton Pierre, God doesn't create people to commit evil acts. They freely choose to, God will judge them, unless they repent, renounce their evil ways, and make Jesus Christ their Savior and Master. But He won't allow them to escape justice. Andrea
  23. @tecladocasio That's where you're wrong, because Self > No-Self (?!) > God-Self = Deluded Self If you cease to exist, then how can you become God who does exist - unless you're saying He doesn't really exist! If that's the case, then nothing ever existed, including YOU, and the process of becoming God never took place!!
  24. jkris, What I'm saying is true, and the Holy Bible is the best source to turn to, for getting your questions answered. But I have a question for you: Who's actually responsible for the terrorism, murder, rape, etc? It certainly isn't God. God is the Creator of all life on Earth. and longs for everyone to be in relationship with Him. The Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John reveal God's heart for us sinners, as expressed through the teachings of - and miracles performed by - Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son. I recommend that you start by reading John's Gospel. And yes, Jesus is actually sat at the right hand of His Father in Heaven. Happy searching.... Andrea
  25. Dodo, I never side I was " a thing". A person is never a thing. A thing doesn't have a personality, which is only possible if he / she has a soul. Awareness of one's surroundings is a part of it. You are affected by this World and it's people, which your Maker designed for you to interact with, and they with you. 0 has nothing to do with it. Andrea
