Why Argument?

By Leo Gura - July 14, 2026

Do you understand why I speak in an argumentative way sometimes? Because this entire processes is the mind arguing with itself. Every single clash in perspective, worldview, or paradigm is a battle. Your mind is in a war for sense-making. People are telling you things left and right, and you don’t know who to trust, not even yourself. I am never arguing against you per se, I am arguing in general, against a faceless adversary. There is a shallow form of argumentation, and a deep form. The shallow form is online debates between loud-mouthed buffoons for clicks. The deep form is a kind of internal dialectic with yourself and mankind at large. How do we change how mankind at large understands itself and the world? Some kind of argument/dialectic is needed. Points must be made, counter-points will be made, counter-counter-points must be ready. So that’s why I talk like I do.

I do not like arguing, but making sense of Reality in a public sphere requires making arguments and points. That’s what I am doing. It is not personal against any individual. Thinking in terms of arguments can be useful, especially when you’re just starting out, because you don’t know what to believe. How are you going to figure out which perspective is right or wrong? Don’t forget that reason does work. Reason can be used to build a powerful, convincing argument against falsehood. So that’s what I’m doing. I am not interested in proving any individual wrong. I am interested in revolutionizing mankind’s understanding of itself. In order for that to happen, all the serious critics needs to be logically, convincingly answered.

Please keep in mind that this is not just about your personal Awakening, for me this is about changing how mankind understands Reality. I often speak towards that end, rather than your personal Awakening. Do you personally need all this talk about science to Awaken? Probably not. But the rest of mankind sure does. I am not just preaching to the choir, I am answering the strongest critics. Because if I can do that, everything else is easy.

The foundations of science and philosophy need serious revision. Who is going to do that work?
