The Liberalization Cycle

Notice that the more society liberalizes, liberalization fails to live up to its utopian promises, because humans are animals, so conservative values make a resurgence. This cycle of over-liberalization and over-correction has been going on since the beginning of civilization. Because when you give unconscious godless animals too much freedom, they of course create chaos and evil, forcing a painful backlash to reality. But conservatism also never holds because spirit yearns to be free, to be Infinite. The spirit in man yearns for Infinity but the body is finite and cannot actualize it. So there is an endless oscillation between the animal self and the God self. This explains all of politics. Liberals want mankind to be better than it is, and conservatives want to chain up the spirit more than it will tolerate. Neither understands the entire dynamic, so everyone is lost in an ignorant tug of war, blaming the other for what is a holistic dualistic cycle.

Liberals make fools of themselves by underestimating the animal.
