Nu Pogodi

On YouTube I found this old Soviet cartoon I used to watch when I was a kid growing up in the USSR. It’s about an arrogant and devilish wolf (“volk”) who endlessly tries and fails to catch an innocent and adorable rabbit (“zayats”). Every time he fails to catch the rabbit he ends the cartoon with the catch phrase “Nu, zayats, Pogodi!” which translates as “Well, rabbit, just you wait!”

This is just for fun:

The history of this cartoon can be found here.

It holds up surprisingly well.

They don’t make ’em like this any more.
