This is a disgusting example of the corruption of celebrities. Celebrities think that this is an acceptable way of behaving these days.

The speaker in this video says that these crypto pump-and-dump schemes are not technically scams. That is false. They are classic securities fraud — a serious crime. Self-issued crypto tokens are unregistered securities. You are not allowed to create your own securities and sell them to people. That’s why stock markets are heavily regulated, because if they weren’t anyone could just invent securities out of thin air and sell them to people. This kind of fraud was pervasive a hundred years ago before we had strict securities laws. Every nation must have strict laws against securities fraud otherwise it spreads like wildfire and harms many financially naive citizens. People lose their life savings to incredibly savvy scammers.

By the way, Bitcoin is not a security, Bitcoin is a commodity. All other crypto tokens are unregistered securities. This is a hugely important difference.

Anyway, this nicely demonstrates why libertarianism is both stupid and evil. Libertarians would have you believe that freedom and free markets are an absolute good. But if we allow just anyone to issue their own securities without heavy regulation what we get are pyramid schemes, pump-and-dumps, and rampant fraud.

Kanye West should go to prison for this. This is just pure theft. And what’s worse is that he does it to his biggest fans. But under the Trump administration none of this will be prosecuted, and even encouraged.

Understand that if you are a fan of any celebrity, that celebrity does not care about you. They see you as just a cow to milk. This is low celebrity business culture has reached. Celebrities are brainwashed into this culture as part of their rise to the top. This kind of behavior is so normalized by their business managers that celebrities think this is okay, when really it is criminal.

Notice that libertarianism is not just a philosophy, it causes serious real-world harm. And yet, Stage Orange people do not understand this because they are blinded by the ideology of it. You can also see why libertarianism is so appealing to people at the top to the pyramid, because they get massive material benefits from it. Liberterianism is like a license to scam anyone you can, so of course business tycoons and hyper-capitalists love libertarianism. If you are a cheater you love the philosophy of us not needing referees.

If we had a proper government, there would a strong department of consumer protections with a division that specifically hunts down celebrity corruption like this and hands out 10-year prison sentences. That would be real democracy. But instead Trump has gutted the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) which the Democrats created. This is an example of one of the many corrupt and toxic influences that Trump has had on our culture, by normalizing this kind of stuff. This should not be a partisan issue. Financial corruption is bad for society, bad for liberals and bad for conservatives. But of course, Trump’s biggest backers are themselves scammers and financial fraudsters who make their fortunes from scamming naive people. So they love this kind of freedom.

The fox wants to be free to eat all the chickens in the yard. And when you take away this freedom the fox will cry big ol’ crocodile tears and scream “Authoritarianism!” This is the playbook of the libertarian right. They do all this so unconsciously that they don’t even know they are doing it. In their mind they think they are the good guys just defending freedom.

This is a perfect example of evil as unconscious survival. But this is just a microcosmic example. Now extrapolate this into the macrocosm of society and the economy as a whole and you start to see how corruption really works.

The Trump administration is really a license to thieve and scam from the highest levels. This is why thieves, scammers, fraudsters, and criminals instinctively love Trump. They don’t even consciously know why they love him, but they love him because he normalizes their predatory lifestyle. That’s why someone like Andrew Tate or pickup artists or Wall Street scammers or rapists love Trump. Trump makes rapists feel like rape is acceptable as long as they are clever enough to cover it up. This is fundamentally why Trumpism is so wrong. It’s not just wrong in my opinion, it’s wrong because it is the opposite of rule of law. Trumpism normalizes violation of law for material gain. It’s shameful that half the population does not understand something so basic and so obvious.
