Interview Disclaimer

This year I plan to appear as a guest on various podcasts and channels. I’ve spent quite a bit of time preparing for those upcoming conversations. I think a lot about how to present my radical ideas to the uninitiated in quick conversational style rather than 3-hour long structured monologues. I even went as far as writing out a disclaimer that I hope to read at the open of every appearance I make. This is a 4 minute long disclaimer on the nature of what I teach. Here it is.

Disclaimer:

  • Today we will be discussing the most serious topics possible. These topics are not just interesting philosophy, they are life & death. Your life hinges on these answers and will be threatened by them. Understanding ultimate reality/Truth must be life & death.
  • In this discussion I will be saying very radical things that will seem outlandish and even insane. That is because we are talking about the ultimate nature of reality. Absolute Truth is so radical that the human mind cannot stomach it.
  • This entire domain of inquiry is fraught with mental traps, illusions, and self-deceptions, requiring extreme nuance and care.
  • The things I say are not belief, not ideology, not theory, not speculation. No belief of any kind reaches Absolute Truth. I am not asking you to believe anything. I am here to point out traps and illusions of your mind.
  • Skepticism is beautiful, but it is also easily misused. Skepticism must be applied evenly and without bias. Skepticism is often hijacked by the mind to attack threatening views and defend its own dogmas. This kind of skepticism ends in profound delusion.
  • These ideas are very threatening and dangerous. They will destabilize your mind and can make mental illness worse. If you understand the things I will be saying you will have an existential crisis and a temporary depression. This is a feature, not a bug.
  • This domain requires extraordinary levels of openmindedness. Your mind will shut down any serious attempt at its deconstruction. From your mind’s POV, deconstruction equals death. So stay mindful of your mind closing down and going into denial mode.
  • The things I say will seem like an attack on science. But science can be critiqued from below or above. Critiques from below are like Flat Earth or Creationism. These are critiques of science from a position of ignorance and dogma. That is not what I’m doing. Science is simply limited and we are interested in exploring those limits. But scientists will be threatened by this because science grounds your sense of self, reality, and even sanity. I am not anti-science. But I will be tough on science. No scientist has ever had the foundations of science seriously challenged. When this occurs, they mistake it for a critique from stupidity, religion, or delusion. Be mindful of this trap.
  • We will be talking about God. When I say God, I do not mean any belief and I am not talking about Christianity. Christianity is self-deception. All religion is self-deception and must be deconstructed to reach Truth.
  • Everything that I claim, is empirically verifiable. I make zero unverifiable claims. But the verification can only be done directly by you in your consciousness, not through social approval. It is an error to look for social approval in this domain. Nobody in society understands the ultimate nature of reality and they will never approve of the things being said here.
  • Absolute Truth exists. This is not belief or speculation. This is something you can become directly conscious of for yourself. I am here to facilitate that process. No human belief, knowledge, model, theory, or idea is Absolute Truth.

It takes me 4 minutes to read that whole thing. Even though it takes 4 minutes, it saves hours of confusion and misunderstanding.

This is really a disclaimer that every one of my videos should start with, but people would find it too annoying so I can’t do that.

The problem is that people are too lazy and ignorant to want to listen to the disclaimer. But the disclaimer is utterly crucial, and profound in and of itself. This disclaimer alone contains more intelligence than most podcasts.
