How Fake Healing Works
By Leo Gura - March 26, 2026
Pre-rational people convince themselves through belief systems and poor epistemology that they are healers. Then they go around healing people. The body naturally heals itself of most conditions unless they are genetic. Since they have no care or respect for truth, these healers take credit for the cases where the body naturally healed itself and ascribe it to God or supernatural powers, while ignoring and overlooking all the cases where their healing failed, also ascribing that to God’s will. In this way they fully deceive themselves into believing they are healers. None of these healers have enough care for truth or epistemic rigor to methodically test their own healing abilities. That’s how the pre-rational mind works.
You can see these healers are full of shit by questioning their epistemology and how they test their own outcomes. What you’ll find is that they use rationalizations, confirmation bias, and double-standards in evaluating their own work. You’ll see that they don’t have a solid grasp of rationality. Again, they’re just doing unconscious survival.
You should note that most conditions and ailments that your body has, your body will heal by itself with time. Not always, but much of the time. So you need to be extra careful not to attribute that healing to some pill you took, some prayer your said, some ritual your did. Pre-rational and sloppy people do exactly that. You can never trust someone’s causal healing claims because they don’t have enough awareness of how their own mind works to distinguish between a true causal connection and just belief. People who haven’t studied science in university cannot be trusted to understand what causal connection is. The vast majority of mankind literally does not understand science, never mind things beyond science.
Beware that most mysticism is not post-rational, it is pre-rational. It is not post-science, it is pre-science. You should be extremely skeptical of anyone making healing claims. Test their epistemology to find that it is shit.
For example, ask a healer, “How do you track the cases of people who you tried to heal but it failed? How do you explain those cases?” If you ask that of most healers, they will look at you like a lost deer in the headlights. That’s how you know they are clowns.
