Trump can still be president from behind bars

7 posts in this topic

The Constitution lists only three qualifications for the Presidency: the President must be at least 35 years of age, be a natural born citizen, and must have lived in the United States for at least 14 years. You can’t have many jobs as a felon, but you can be the president.

We’re at the point where voting for the candidate in prison is the correct candidate to vote for because “those in prison are wrongfully found guilty, and those not in prison are yet to be held accountable.” That’s going to be the new logic going into 2024.

Passing executive orders like:

That's technically correct.

If that happened then it would no doubt be the most surreal and most bizarre thing that's ever happened in all of US history.

Our country would also be recognized by every other country in the world as a truly disgraced nation.

There is no way he would win like that. He already has low chances of winning. A majority will not vote for him in prison. That is absurd.

Although, most Americans are uninformed, stupid, and easily influenced by right-wing conspiracy theories and Fox News.

So, it may not be totally out of the realm of possibilities that about half of Americans may be easily fooled into believing that he was wrongly convicted.

Not gonna happen.

At most Trump has 35% support. He already lost all the moderate voters.

The real risk is if Trump goes to prison then DeSantis will almost certainly win the GOP nomination. And then he has a good chance at beating Biden. We want Trump to run. He is the weakest GOP candidate. If Trump is running againat Biden from prison this is our ideal situation.

Yeah, that's true.

Also, Fox News and others right-wing outlets have been trying their best now to convince Republican and conservative voters throughout the entire country to move on from him to someone like DeSantis.

I don’t think Trump is going to be president again regardless of whether he goes to prison. His strategy is not sustainable.
