The Forum is not good for making money, a critical part of Spirituality

57 posts in this topic

Financial success is step 1 to spiritual development.

Being on the forum overall does not contribute to financial success, it can even harm the process. There needs to be more incentive for productivity and purpose on the forum to improve our productivity or else its almost a unusually time drainer.

We need to help each other get things done and actualize things into reality not idle idea exchanges. Put your ideas into practice needs to be the focus here.

I want to come to this place as a helping tool to get shit done, 99% of the topics of conversation don't actualize anything. The most productive section is surprisingly THE DATING SECTION, second to the psychedelic section, action is being taken. Maybe im being abit to critical, but ive been working non-stop for a few weeks now occasionally checking into the forum and its clear this place does not help me.

How is this post just me acting out my ego in the usual ways? Is this post just me venting and justifying my selfishness? Are the things you are posting in alignment with principles of higher consciousness and higher stages of ego development? Are you acting in a mature or immature way? Are you being selfish or selfless in your communication? Are you acting like a monkey or like a God-like being?

When i was in god mode, i too asked myself why not just make me win lottery? Then i would always get the same answer, if i would make you win lottery then i would have to do this request for others too, what makes you so special when you're the "other" too? Gods purpose and the purpose of the "other" is to give you a balanced life, so you can enjoy small and big things equally.

@integral

I totally agree with your points.

Build your foundation (Orange) and then move to Yellow/Turquoise/Beyond.

Spiritual bypassing is common here (I was doing it too).

Now I'm working more seriously to build a powerful foundation (80% of time) while resonating with teachers like Leo, Jed Mckenna and Peter Ralston (20% of time).

It's not really supposed to be about that though.

This forum is clearly positioned as a place to talk with like minded people about your spiritual journey and things related to that. Of course making money is part of that, but so is everything else about human existence.

There are innumerable "mastermind groups" for productivity, business, finance and such things out there.

If you want to develop business skills together with your friends from this forum, you will have to persuade them into it somehow - dry reason won't get you all that far.

Make a few millies and post some pictures of your hot girlfriend and your Bugatti and maybe people will be motivated to take that aspect of life serious themselves.

@integral Fairs. Maybe, at this point of your life, your time would be better spent outside of this forum.

100%!! I read only your Opener, but I will read the other Posts here as well now.

Let's discuss on how to make it happen and start worthwhile discussion while ignoring low life discussions. I say it's not being critical in a judging sense, but being critical in a assessing sense. The difference is if you use you knowledge to put someone else down to feel better or if you just decide what you want AND respect others :)

Oh happy day!

Fair point. There are different needs. I think the solution might be simpler as it looks: We, the once who agree with the OP 'just' need to ignore what we don't want, strive to our ideal and embody it in posts.

As you know I respect you advice. To me there is room for the forum: If you work all day and push yourself, you can safely socialize after your work is done. It might help you as you go one in 'chill mode' instead of seeking other pleasures which lead you astray from the goals you set yourself :)

Surely.

And to go deeper and be frank, the best time to hang out on a forum such as this is when you already have gained various life experiences, wisdom, financial stability and has done years of serious internal work. Only then you can be interesting and of great value because your posts will be high quality and unique.

Anything else is mental-emotional masturbation or spiritual bypassing, and a waste of time.

I wouldn't say 99% but I think we could benefit from more practical conversations about these topics that's for sure. There is a reason why so many struggle to actualise their life purpose. It is easier to find it then to cash on it. Otherwise it is just another thing floating out there.

@Leo Gura perhaps a stage yellow take on making money and being ok with selling - e.g. "actualising your life purpose without selling your soul or something along the lines of high integrity business

I think it depends on what you use the forum for.

Spiral-Wizardry is huge for making money, in my experience. It shows financial-opportunities that were previously unheard of. I'm working on an idea that takes my culture up the Spiral. So far, good response!

If you use it to challenge your ideas and other people's ideas, break out of your intellectual comfort-zone, then it's good. If you come for an echo-chamber, then it's not good.

Why would you expect what is mostly as spiritual and philosophical discussion group to help you make money? That's not the primary focus on this place.

You should join some money-making forum in addition to this one, so it rounds you out.

Yes, making money is important, but do you really need to get your money-making advice from your rabbi?

What it sounds like you really need is to join a business mastermind group. Not as a replacement for this forum, but as a supplement.

If you are serious about success, what you need to realize is that success comes from specialization. You can't expect one person, group, or book to cover every important topic. Seek out specialists in every area you wish you master. This place is specialized for metaphysical topics. That's not a bug, that's a feature.

@integral Most people will probably procrastinate and stay with the theory for too much time anyway. But I still feel like the forum is useful to balance out theory and practice, which could be useful for healthy growth.

(I'm being so indefinite in my language because I have only had a "mad action and no reflection" business phase so far, so I only assume that a balance will make more or better profits in the long run.)

@supremeyingyang It doesn't say money-making forum.

True, what I mean is that the OP is not the first to confuse what the forum is about and what not.

@Majed

There is a forum called the fast lane forum, it's all about the launching a business, but not the common eNtRpReNeUr-bRo advice (out of the box ship dropping, uhm drop shipping, e-commerce, nfts - non of that shallow ideas)

@supremeyingyang It is quite shallow in a sense, a lot of immature people browsing it and posting there. Very ideological place and the books are full of ideology, too. But I don't know the names of places where more mature entrepreneurs meet, so I will upkeep your recommendation. It's quite ok, and may be life-changing for people who have no experience with business/management.
