I made it back to day 50.

This could've been day 100, but, alas, the ego is stupid.

This discussion is so hilarious from so many perspectives.

On one side, guys that constantly need to remind how No Fap is healthy and it will save your life.

And, on the other side, guys that think their balls will explode and they will get cancer if they don't fap regularly.

Believe it or not, but I haven't fapped for 1-2 years and I am still alive. And I don't start threads about it.

Good for you.

I start threads about NoFap because it's fun. It's more entertaining to track your progress using fun titles:

I'll move on after OOOOO. I want to make a thread for each month. I'm creating my magnum opus here.

@The Mystical Man being so obsessed with the topic of no fap is not healthy

I'm not obsessed with it. It may seem that way, though.

Guys, guys. Let me tell you a motivational speech.

I know life gets hard, and you feel like its time to rub one out. But not rubbing one out can make you the hardest guy on the planet. Those round cheeks though, that beautiful voice, especially when she is singing. The beautiful hair she has, the quality of softness a woman has, the maternal instincs she has. The emotional connection you can have. All of that is beautiful, but you may not even need it. But if you are young, sexuality is something you are fighing with, me too. If you do rub one out, at least really go into it and enjoy it, don't hurry too much, you know.

I did nofap for 1 year back in 2018 after many tries prior.

Now I can't get aroused by porn and only real women can.

I avoid speaking about this because most guys get defensive and want to save their precious free dopamine through pornography.

@D2sage Definitely speak up about the benefits you've experienced if you want to.

I don't know about other people, but my criticism is basically directed towards unnecessary ideology and fundamentalism surrounding the practice. I have no problem with semen retention as a practice. In fact I was one of the guys who did it back in November, and I reported some powerful benefits -- and a few drawbacks, too.

But again, people seem to easily conflate their beliefs and initial motivation to undertake such thing, with the raw practice itself and their experience of it.

Too be honest i have no idea about what the benefits are. They are subtle, hard to identify and hard to articulate often.

For me, the benefits are not subtle at all. The effects of excessive dopamine are debilitating. Masturbation is also an undignified act; therefore, the knowledge that you haven't committed this act for a while raises your self-esteem. It simply feels so much better not to do it than to do it.

If you've consumed porn on a regular basis since a young age and spent years jerking off your dopamine receptors are most likely fried, to the point its effecting other areas in your life.

I found out about no fap my junior year of college tried it to various degrees of success, but never stayed consistent. For the summer of that year I decided to quit porn, go on nofap, and practice semen retention even during sex, I probably cummed only 5 times that summer, (while dating a girl btw). One of the most productive summers of my life.

The main benefits I experienced, was higher levels of focus, I could sit down for hours at a time and work on tasks that needed to get done. Also my dopamine levels were "reset" as my brain wasn't used to the instant gratification of porn which lead to me getting rid of all instant gratification addictives like social media, and garbage entertainment. This is honestly the best benefit I got.

The only analogy I could use would be like an alcoholic finally quitting alcohol and started seeing the world in a sharper way. I also got much much better at sex as I got to practice different ways of bringing the girl I was dating to orgasm without constant penetration, (although something interesting I found out, is that women don't like the feeling of participating in sex and not seeing their partner "get off", this actually led to a few arguments although she understood why I was doing what I was doing)

As of right now im not as extreme and will probably jerk off 2-4 times a month and occasionally watch porn or my own tapes as I still have a high sex drive. Ive come full circle to the conclusion that jerking or watching porn isnt bad at all but if you cant quit for at least 30 you might have an addiction or have a fucked up dopamine system.

I'm disappointed by your conclusion, frankly.
