What programming language(s) would you learn to prototype web apps?

5 posts in this topic

I want to, as independently as I can, prototype web apps for myself and others, MVPs to start with and then I can build from there, but I want to be able to learn pretty quickly.

Any recommendations on languages or how to learn efficiently?

Yup check out the Odin Project. Node + javascript would be a decent way to start since you get both front and backend with a single language but ultimately the language you learn matters very little, programming and web development concepts and skills are the same across languages and frameworks and the best language to start with would simply be the one that you think you'd enjoy using and learning with the most. This is not a problem of choosing the right language, it's a sticking with it and actually putting in the time and effort to learn problem.

Javascript is the obvious choice. Used for practically every single web app. I'd learn react too. Easy to reuse common components. Also if you are just prototyping tailwindcss and many others have premade elements to help you prototype faster.
