Tulsi Gabbard’s radical transformation

17 posts in this topic

Tulsi Gabbard, who was previously allied with Bernie Sanders and identified as progressive, is now a contributor on Fox News, working with Tucker Carlson, who has extreme far right views. How could someone shift their political beliefs so dramatically in such a short time?

"Not believing your own thoughts, you’re free from the primal desire: the thought that reality should be different than it is. You realise the wordless, the unthinkable. You understand that any mystery is only what you yourself have created. In fact, there’s no mystery. Everything is as clear as day. It’s simple, because there really isn’t anything. There’s only the story appearing now. And not even that.” — Byron Katie

@How to be wise Seems like a real lack of integrity she's suffering from.

I reckon she has an egoic agenda that is the backbone of her political career. Hence such a big switch.

She's a true grifter and I don't use that word lightly. She is the same camp as Glenn Greenwald.

She quite simply is a person that has a vindictive belief system that’s largely aligned with ideas around “hating the establishment.” Her entire political career is built around this and she is trying to live up to some sort of image she has created around this. And since much of the left, including outspoken leaders with diverging opinions like Bernie have largely formed a coalition with the center and the establishment, she has to do more radical and different stuff to keep up with what she has aligned herself with. Her new home is the far right because they house more people like this now who will listen to her.

She was never progressive. People mistook her as such.

Why do you think she didn't just start out as a conservative Republican before?

It is a hijacked model by some deluded spiritual guru which original purpose is neither to classify people nor to devalidate poltical views in order to enforce the own ones. Which wouldnt be yellow nor turquoise btw

In reality such rough simplifications and prejustices don't work.

It is like claiming you know zhe exact personality of someone without him taking a test and you observing the person for a long time.

It is the classic example of self overestimation. Working with prejustices or a sense of absolute certainty about a topic is the definition of stupidity. Moreover, if it is based on a self-created pseudoscience in the sense of twisting someone elses work and evidence.

To make it look like it is serious science.  And so it is easier for you to believe that and buy the next course : D

However I don't want to talk too badly, the majority of the old stuff was good.

Too much drug use can mess everybodies psyche or personality up.

There are certainly good intentions, too.

@IAmReallyImportant Did you study it? Have you watched Leo's videos on Blue, Orange, or Green, and read books like The Religion of Tomorrow by Ken Wilber and Spiral Dynamics by Don Beck?

I'm amused at how people just can't wrap their heads around the left actually being a nuclear cringe of a political party
