Loved this. I honestly respect Fridman so much more after this because I think he gave some excellent pushback/criticism.

Destiny was sharp as ever.

yeah, this talk is excellent. I feel like Fridman is able to pull the best out of Destiny and in good faith challenge what he thinks to be his shortcomings.

Truly feels like an intellectually mature conversation.

Great you think and feel that way. Could you give me some points where Lex Fridman gave excellent pushback, and Destiny managed that?

I get that feeling from watching this video as well. Also, have you noticed Lex Fridman speaking a little bit faster?

Although this in comparison to Lex Fridman talking to Daniel Schmachtenberger contrasts quite a bit.

I like how the conversation started by Lex Fridman how we all should have meta conversations. Yes, not limited to one person as Lex Fridman did interview some very intelligent human beings, but that's a loose reference to Mr. Girl's catch phrases as well. Neither even mentioned this and I am surprised Destiny didn't mention him when he was at the part of talking about challenging topics to talk about.  Was the fallout that bad?

Destiny: I don't give a fuck about the internet.

Also, Destiny: Well, that happened in the darker parts of the internet in the past. Nowadays the internet is way cleaner, and my subreddit is cooler and has the best orbiters ever.

Question: If you don't give a fuck about the internet, why are you so serious online streaming and doing these online debate bro debates, while in Twitch, while using the internet?

   Make up your mind. ?

I thought Lex’s critique of Destiny’s use of the R and N word was pretty good. It’s a kind of perspective Destiny misses because he’s so hyperlogical in his thinking.

Destiny's description of how he handled college and his Casino job is extremely telling.

He probably acted like a complete prick at his job, argued with everyone constantly and acted intellectually superior.  Probably didn't clean the fruit fly mess because he's extremely petty, even though he could have just done his job and just emailed his boss later about it cordially.  Claims he was a high performing employee, yet couldn't handle basic employee communications.  I'm guessing he was a massive problem over a long period of time, didn't correct himself because he's stubborn.  My guess is that it was a well deserved firing of a bad employee.

Lack of humility, arrogance, childish anger, narcissism.  This is someone that no one should look up to.

I have no idea who these people are but I like Lex so I watched some of it.

So the guy sits at home and streams while she bangs other guys and then comes home to him?

@Heart of Space bro... can you see how all of what you just said is conjecture? You took one story and added so much of your own assumptions and shit onto it.

Destiny definitely has his shortcomings and immaturities, but there is also a lot of intellectual openness and deep interesting thinking. Minus all the petty shit, he definitely has stuff to offer.

Yes, but no. That's a rather implausible way of making that case.

I agree partially, as I'm into reading body languages, micro expressions and tonality, from head to toe the body sub communicates way more than the verbal as non-verbal communication is more primordial than verbal communication. I agree with parts of your description about Destiny being a bit petty and maybe thought himself too highly as a high performing employee, maybe he is high performing in his head space more than the other coworkers and boss. I agree with your assessment of his pettiness and stubbornness and lack of humility and arrogance as I've seen those leaks in his subconscious communication. I might not agree with the exaggeration of his arrogance and childish anger, seems like he has a lot of repressed anger that he masks behind that facade of an online debate bro streamer. The Narcissism I do agree, and nobody should look up, model their behavior from or form a Para social relationship with Destiny as he's too manipulative, but the takeaway that's safe is his way of debating and arguing in a precise and clean rhetoric.

@Heart of Space  Especially the Melina and Destiny segment, so rich in body language to compare and contrast to, and her subtle reactions to his words and vice versa, so telling of a lot of stuff not being said. For example, in the last minutes in the Melina and Destiny segment, 3:28:50 to 3:29:00, Lex asked 'there's not childhood stuff trauma?' Destiny's reply, 'uh it's all sorted, done.' Melina raising her eyebrows, in surprise. CLASSIC GIVE AWAY.

@Max_V @Carl-Richard There might be some projection going on from @Heart of Space partially speaking, but I intuit, from experience and study, that there's something going on in there that is telling of who Destiny actually is as a REAL person, less so of his online persona.
