Will Iran's New Revolution be Successful?

Well they burned Ayatollah's Khomeni's house and museum lol. I think things will never go back to normal in Iran and the regime will eventually die. Multiple Basij and IRGC terrorist offices and bases have been burnt to a crisp. Karma is coming for these asswipes.

So, you guys from US might find this interesting.

Last night was football(soccer) match between Iran and US. Almost everyone in Iran wanted US to win, because football team is heavily pro-government and they are actually controlled by the government. Last night you could literally hear people inside their building chanting for US victory. And then US won, and thousands of people went into street to celebrate! And then these criminals shot and killed this 27 year old man in front of his wife, just because he was honking his car horn! They also smashed people's car glasses and beat many people. This is what we are dealing with!

A lot of people will be protesting due to dissatisfaction with their government rather than for women's rights or freedom & democracy.

This is similar to the China protests now, where only the young university students are for government overthrow (very small segment).

@Revolutionary Think Of course not. If the population overthrew a secular government to install a theocracy just 40 years ago, there’s no way they’re going to magically go back to secularism. Societies don’t change that quickly.

"Not believing your own thoughts, you’re free from the primal desire: the thought that reality should be different than it is. You realise the wordless, the unthinkable. You understand that any mystery is only what you yourself have created. In fact, there’s no mystery. Everything is as clear as day. It’s simple, because there really isn’t anything. There’s only the story appearing now. And not even that.” — Byron Katie

@How to be wise 40 years ago people thought they were doing opposite of that. They believed that they are overthrowing a dictator(Shah of Iran), and replacing it with a republic. But after a while, specially in the aftermath of Iraq war on Iran (which lasted 8 years), some assholes grabbed the power in Iran. People got fooled 40 years ago, and now they have been paying the price since.

If those 1 million Iraqis didn’t support a viscous dictator, they wouldn’t have died. It’s like asking, why did the US have to kill so many innocent Germans in ww2? Well, if you weren’t supporting Hitler, who was trying to take over the world, then we would have no reason to kill you.

Civilians are responsible for their leaders. If your leader is a maniacal genocidal dictator, no amount of ‘innocence’ will protect you from the consequences.

No one is talking about NATO liberating the Persians and there are more than just Persians in Iran. The Iranians are going to liberate themselves. They made a mistake in 1979 (not the ones who were kids or born after 1979 they made no mistake) The mistake is being fixed though by them.

@asifarahim Most of those atrocities happened when Europe was at Blue/Orange. Europe is now at stage Green.

The problem with revolutions is that they often lead to worse dictators than the ones they overthrew.

It's relatively easy to do a revolution. The hard part is governing afterwards.
