the respect/disrespect and admiration/disgust dualities are things that I'm personally trying to transcend

andrew tate is operating within a primitive version of capitalism, one in which the strong exploit and extract value from the weak

it was what he did to achieve financial security and excess - for many who are struggling to achieve financial security, it might be admirable, but a more enlightened version of capitalism adds value to all transactions or at least doesn't extract it

He acts like a literal child. I can't remember the last time I saw an interview or a twitter post or whatever from him that didn't feel like it came from somebody with the emotional intelligence of a 5th grader. years ago I used to be able to occasionally give him the benefit of the doubt before his public persona became unavoidable, but it's just so hard to do that now. It's like his entire personality is constantly daring you to slap the shit out of him.

He's like that obnoxious kid in school who would annoy other kids just enough to get them to get a reaction from them, but not enough to get in trouble with the teacher himself, and as soon as you try to report him to the teacher he acts like you were the one who started it.

@Topspin715 @Phil King I mean fair it's a shady business but calling it a scam is a stretch. It's basically like onlyfans girls and people tipping them to talk to them while they're outsourced to a chat team or people paying strippers to make them feel attractive. It's taking advantage but they're mostly getting the product they're paying for.

Many of the times, it would be andrew or tristan typing to the lonely guys and making them take out loans and hand over their life savings to feel love(Literally a million dollars over a year he said in the vid i linked). He would keep stringing them along saying that they would meet someday with absolutely no intention of ever seeing the guy. Thats so predatory and they definitely were not getting what theyre paying for

@Phil King Yeah true on second thought. They wouldn't have gotten where they are today if they had sold an honest product. They definitely built on scams and manipulation and before then were not particularly successful. They operate casinos today which are a similar concept.

 

I have a bit of faith in their hustler's university program though, that seems like an honest product with honest value.

Yeah from what ive seen it seems like they do provide some value in the form of helping people make an online income like copywriting, sales, and video editing, etc

Twitter costs Musk $1B/yr to operate just thanks to the massive loans he took out to buy it. No amount subscriptions will cover $1B/yr. And no one is going to pay for his subscription. That subscription is pointless.

I predict that Musk will piss off at least half the influencers on Twitter and cause them to flee. Also at leaat half the advertizers will flee because there will be so much toxic hate speech, racism, sexism, homophobia, nazism, transphobia, and porn.

In the end Musk will make less profit than old Twitter.

I think this is a good prediction of what will happen.

He should be smart enough to see through this kind of shallow centrism. We don't need to balance power with MAGA election deniers.

can't comment on musk's political worldviews, but from a technological perceptive, twitter can definitely surpass youtube and likes. there is an entire field of unexplored social structures that may be more effective and desirable than current social networks

with 44B, it would've been trivial to create everything from scratch. not sure but seems musk kind of exposed himself as a baka
