I know that masturbating only makes my life worse, yet I still do it. How do I stop?

@ThePoint taking LSD can help.  I ve cut down on drinking alcohol and i got rid of some expensive and growth limiting habits.  Set your intentions on quitting and meditate on it...drop LSD and see what happens.  You might not notice a change right away, but over time it'll vanish.

Even if you take the fact that it makes my quality of life out of the equation, I spend like 5-9 hours a week masturbating. This amount of time could instead be used to better use, e.g. developing skills, doing consciousness work, etc. 

Masturbating doesn’t move the needle in any way. If I replace the time I spend masturbating with more productive activities, I would be getting better results, and would have more to show for it.

   It's good you know the negatives of masturbating, in that amount, to what, and how, but are you aware of the negatives?

   Look into NLP techniques, and compare your habit of masturbating to porn, to other habits you daily, for relaxation, and compare and contrast how you'll feel 1, 5 10 or so years doing the bad habit, to 1,5,10 or so years of doing those good habits.

Can you make the difference between knowing the negatives of masturbating and being aware of the negatives of masturbating explicit? What is the difference?

What are NLP techniques? Where can I learn about them and where can I start?
