meanwhile in the UK the tory cu*** are threatening to take peoples passports and driving licences away for repeat offences, just desperate for votes from pear clutching boomers, i think if that legislation managed to get passed though people would actually kick off

I've done weed once in my life, at a party, while otherwise completely sober. Honestly it didn't really do all that much for me. It's really not a hard drug at all. Coffee affects me more. Legalizing it makes sense.

Anyways, when are we legalizing psychedelics?

Dude, I've been tripping balls so hard on weed, you wouldn't believe it. It obviously affects everyone differently, but on me it's extremely effective (especially edibles :x).

I did one hit of weed, tripped for 16 hours. Longest single trip in my life. One of my deepest too.

I was floating is Absolute Infinity for like 6 hrs.

Could not walk straight for 2 days after.

I don't like weed. Don't promote weed here.

Weed is awesome. Too bad that it turns you into a lazy slob (unless your name is Joe Rogan).

I saw many lives destroyed by weed.

It's a Cancer.

Most people's lives who do use weed aren't destroyed though. I've even seen someone's life be destroyed by psychedelics. Doesn't mean the drugs are somehow bad due to that. Taking anything regularly is probably not a very good idea in general. Weed isn't going to destroy anybody's life if they don't use it constantly and have other meaningful content in their life.

@amanen the problem is weed is unlike any other drug. It gets you hooked before you know. It's severely addictive. Most people aren't able to control their craving for it. It's not like porn, where you could tell someone to do it in moderation.. There's no moderation with weed. You cannot simply switch off weed the way you do with coffee.

You take weed and when you get the habit, you do it regularly. That's the highest risk with weed. It causes paranoia, dehydration and the person turns into a shell of themselves.

I've seen people who were addicted to weed. They act weird, get triggered easily, they are a hair's length away from having a mental breakdown.

Weed makes you happy in the moment but increases the tendency to rage at people.

It makes people paranoid, anxious, unstable, volatile and irritable all the time.

It's lethal long term

I'm actually disappointed that it was legalized.

From what I know weed is more addictive than psychedelics, but less addictive than compounds such as tobacco, cocaine, heroin, or alcohol. And even alcohol is legal. It definitely is not unlike any other drug. The addictive potential is definitely a factor to take in, but you definitely can use it with proper care. It's really more about the person than the substance. I have used weed, and I never had a problem with it. I usually used it rarely, maybe once or twice a month or less. I don't use weed almost at all anymore actually. Everyone I know who used weed was not addicted to it. But these are just anecdotal reports, the overall picture that I have gathered is that most people can use it in moderation, with some people being unable to do so. But there are people who are unable to do anything in moderation, even when its something as basic as eating.

Most people I've seen have not become paranoid from weed, though this is indeed that happens to some people. Never seen rage due to weed though, in fact, usually it's the opposite. It's supposed to make you chill.

It's more about responsible use and your individual reaction to it.

Though I am not trying to defend weed, I don't actually care that much about it at all, I just don't think its that black and white.

@amanen

This is because you see them short term. I saw my loved ones over a long period of time like a full year and saw them completely change gradually with weed use. In the moment, chill. But long term irritable.

These people were using weed for a few years on and off irregularly, they didn't have any negative changes over time. I think the problem here is the regular consumption, weed definitely affects you negatively if you take it too often.

I'm talking about people who took Marijuana daily.
