This was an amazing and enlightening talk about black history though - not something I ever really cared about, but I'm glad I watched it.

I have sent him an email but never heard back.

I'm not gonna go out of my way chasing people down. I got my own work to do.

Maybe at some point we'll connect.

This guy gave really shallow points, and he wasn't even properly informed about Daniel's work before he attacked him. He basically attacked a very short video, where only a very small fraction of things were mentioned. It seems to me, that he deliberately tried to misunderstand Daniel's points and did a bunch of straw man.

It also seems, that he can't really move beyond some of his assumptions and beliefs and not even open minded to certain possibilities. Like "We can't work with fascists" and then he is talking about history and stuff like that. He is not even open to the possibility that there could be a system that unites all of us and he doesn't even try to think it through.

Yeah I know that the Weinstein brothers have their own conspiracy theories and side. I personally haven't checked how probable those assumptions are, but yeah it can certainly be the case that they have a bad epistemic foundation when it comes to certain things.

Besides that Eric has his own conspiracy side, he is very great in his own field, and I think he did a better than average convo with Daniel. (because he was able to lead the convo relatively well and he was able to communicate some of the ideas that Daniel made in a more normie friendly form)
