Are dreams parallel universes?

14 posts in this topic

For the first time I had a dream so Real and conscious that I could not even imagine it was a dream. It was difficult waking up and grounding up again.

When we dream are we actually waking up in another "place" relative to were our previous body was?

Do you think daydreaming or using imagination would also be tapping into alternate universes, even if its less real and vivid? What about dreamless sleep?

(Not trying to prompt you in a specific direction. Im not sure what I think about it myself, just trying to generate more discussion. I think I heard somewhere that anything you can imagine must necessarily exist. But I forget the exact reasoning behind it)

Nah, dream is just the manifestation of thoughts in the mind. There is no location to anything because there is no center to be found. So what even is "parallel universe"? Who said their is such a thing as universe, let alone parallel? Those are just concepts.

The waking state, deep sleep and the dream state are located in the same "place", which is nowhere. A distinction between one universe and another can only occur in one place - the mind. And the mind can only appear here and now, which is nowhere at all.

There's only one reality. All things that are, are that. This, dreams, hallucinations only you can see, it is in one reality.

The best way to find the answer to that is to contemplate what exactly (if any) is the difference between dreams and reality? (Also do lots of dream work, so you actually get a feel for them)

Consciousness is nonlocal.

You Are, always here, always now.

I think dreams are related to how our biology works. It says something about your mental state.

Yeah. Daydreaming and daily imagination are pretty much the same as a regular dream state, its just that you are more grounded with the physical senses here, so you cant dream as deep, the grounding is persistent to keeping you here. Turn off the senses and off, to a different dream you go xD

@Kalki Avatar This has been happening to me often for many years. I have an incredible dream life. I look forward to going to sleep excited for what adventures await me. I think there are many different things that occur during sleep but yes, I would say one of those is experiencing other realties.

There is no distinction between dreams and current reality. So if you consider your waking dream real, then your day dreams or sleep dreams are real also. So if you want to consider that a parallel universe, you can. Don't let anyone tell you how to "think." A concept is just a map. So if you want to think of it that way go for it.

But yeah everything is connected so even your dreams impact what you think of as reality. I've been running tests shall we say and you can send thoughts to people because we are all connected. If you think about someone enough they will try to contact you. Its very funny.

You are a selfless LACK OF APPEARANCE, that CONSTRUCTS AN APPEARANCE. But that appearance can disappear and reappear and we call that change, we call it time, we call it space, we call it distance, we call distinctness, we call it other. But notice...this appearance, is a SELF. A SELF IS A CONSTRUCTION!!!

So if you want to know the TRUTH OF THE CONSTRUCTION. Just deconstruct the construction!!!! No point in playing these mind games!!! No point in creating needless complexity!!! The truth of what you are is a BLANK!!!! A selfless awareness....then that means there is NO OTHER, and everything you have ever perceived was JUST AN APPEARANCE, A MIRAGE, AN ILLUSION, IMAGINARY.

Everything that appears....appears out of a lack of appearance/void/no-thing, non-sense (can't be sensed because there is nothing to sense). That is what you are, and what arises...is made of that. So nonexistence, arises/creates existence. And thus everything is solved.

Parallel universes are a dream.

You're dreaming so deeply that you've even dreamed up this universe, and you've even dreamed up having dreams.

All your dreams are imaginary! Ta-da! ;)

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.
