If God had a name what would it be?
And would you call it to his face?
If you were faced with Him in all His glory
What would you ask if you had just one question?

And yeah, yeah, God is great
Yeah, yeah, God is good
Yeah, yeah, yeah-yeah-yeah

What if God was one of us?
Just a slob like one of us
Just a stranger on the bus
Tryin' to make his way home?

If God had a face what would it look like?
And would you want to see
If seeing meant that you would have to believe
In things like heaven and in Jesus and the Saints
And all the prophets?

And yeah, yeah, God is great
Yeah, yeah, God is good
Yeah, yeah, yeah-yeah-yeah

What if God was one of us?
Just a slob like one of us
Just a stranger on the bus
Tryin' to make his way home?

Just tryin' to make his way home
Back up to heaven all alone
Nobody callin' on the phone
'Cept for the Pope, maybe in Rome

And yeah, yeah, God is great
Yeah, yeah, God is good
Yeah, yeah, yeah-yeah-yeah

What if God was one of us?
Just a slob like one of us
Just a stranger on the bus
Tryin' to make his way home?

Just tryin' to make his way home
Like a holy rolling stone?
Back up to heaven all alone
Just tryin' to make his way home

Nobody callin' on the phone
'Cept for the Pope maybe in Rome

a bit on the nose ;) thanks for sharing!

@Realms of Wonder

I’ve only recently started listening and he has already become one of my favorite artists, he’s incredible!

It's true that any music or thing I like will make me feel love, but I think this "loving introspection into a true nature" is a very specific thing you're pointing to, and I think I kind of get what you mean. You might be talking about music that sort of makes you introspect over your life and experiences, with a more loving recontextualization around it. I think the key to this is music that makes you feel contemplative/nostalgic/loving. I could listen to some super fast hyperactive electronic music, which is great (for me personally), but that won't make me reminisce and look at life and contemplate what I've been through.

So I think the key is making the music invoke contemplative emotions, that is, emotions that make you more contemplative or reflective on your experiences. Nostalgia is definitely an emotion that fills this criteria.

Anyways, enough crazy rambling from me, here are a few examples I can personally think of:

Edited by Osaid

"God is not a conclusion, it is a sudden revelation. When you see a rose it is not that you go through a logical solipsism, 'This is a rose, and roses are beautiful, so this must be beautiful.' The moment you see it, the head stops running thoughts. On the contrary, your heart starts running. It is something totally different from the idea of truth." -Osho

Trance is the best thing for me to open my heart
Not everyone's taste, but if you can lose yourself in it, than there is hardly another style that enlivens and "euphorizes" you as much

Album 'New Age Heroine' By band 'OURS'

One truly powerful record. I first met it at age 17. Before, I have never experienced this kind of Love in my life EVER.

Recommend the work 'My love' & 'Made to love' in it. and 'God only wants you' from another album of them.
