Does caffeine help with insights?

50 posts in this topic

I've been doing a lot of caffeine since one week. I noticed that my mind becomes sharper and randomly comes up with insights about my past and current life events. Stuff I could not access before.

It gave me greater clarity

Anyone who did similar things or had a similar experience on caffeine?

It did impact sleep

Is it wrong for me to do this?

I did it to clear my mind.

My mind works best when it's completely sober. Caffeine makes it go faster, but there is a loss of subtlety.

Not an expert, but if it works it works. Nothing wrong with exploring different ways of perspective if it's not damaging.

Personally I had interesting experiences with caffeine although not really good ones. Best I can explain is being "too awake". It made me anxious about being real or existing. I assume it was some existential anxiety creeping up that I didn't dealt with. I think you can extract some stuff from caffeine, pun included.

Guy guesses number on first try after drinking 400mg of caffiene.

Caffiene increases synchronicity, but you actually need to have enough liver glycogen so that it doesn't raise adrenaline otherwise you are just gonna mess yourself up. The niacinimide and taurine also improves caffiene tolerance and he drank five cans which contain 5000mg taurine.

@funcool omg yeah. That's how I can describe it.

I felt intense synchronicity and then I could have these psychic downloads about myself.

I could feel things around me, my thoughts were clearer and Lucid.

I can easily tell the difference when I have taken a dose of caffeine for the whole day (I keep sipping every 2 hours till the whole day)

The effect lasts up to few hours to a full day.

And my thoughts and mental state are very different from the days when I'm not on caffeine..

The adrenaline is obvious so I take few sips so that it doesn't shoot.

Tolerance grows slowly.

Now the effects are these

  • Alert state
  • Synchronicity
  • Brings euphoric feelings
  • Reduces my depression a bit
  • Controls my bpd on the worst days
  • Causes crashes due to high energy state during comedown
  • Excessive sleep during withdrawal /deep sleep /almost crash sleep
  • Giddy "high"
  • Clearer thoughts
  • Hyper awareness
  • Able to sync with my inner feelings/thoughts better
  • Repressed emotions/thoughts tend to flow out

Sleeplessness in the beginning. But later it's okay.

Past two days whole did caffeine and had much more clarity in my thoughts. Like I could really bring it to the surface what my heart really wanted.

Couldn't achieve that before.

Be careful with caffeine, overdosing can have explosive consequences if you know what I mean.

I drink coffee every day.  It works great until you build a tolerance.

@Preety_India everyone is unique. You can consider peoples opinions and experience and draw your own conclusions.

the only real anwser is within your very direct experience. Only you can do personal science and properly analize what are the pros and cons for your specific body and mind.

Personally I try to stay away from stimulants as I'm pretty sensitive. If want to aim for brain performance I take a Nootropic cocktail.

I do drink an expresso here and there, max one every 4-5 days to avoid any kind of addiction and building tolerance. but most of the time I stay away from it, I'm even sensitive to L-theanine.

But that's me.

Cacao is a great source of caffein imo. It gives a sense of alertness with a touch of balance, that I was never able to get with coffee. Highly recommend buying raw cacao powder and mixing it with some hot water or some hot almond milk and some cinnamon. Or even mixing some cacao powder in to a smoothie.

I haven’t had coffee for years really. Because it’s always too much. And it had negative effects when coming down or crashing down. Leaving room to just drink more and to get addicted.

But with raw cacao powder, it doesn’t give you that skyhigh effect, and doesn’t leave you exhausted when it comes down. It is much smoother.

Also have a good recipe for mushroom/nootropic’s coffee: (feel free to experiment with the amounts, if you like mild or strong)

  • Quarter to half a teaspoon of Chaga mushroom powder.
  • Quarter to half a teaspoon of Reishi mushroom powder.
  • Quarter to half a teaspoon of Cacao powder.
  • Optional: Quarter to half a teaspoon of Lions mane mushroom powder.
  • Pinch of cinnamon/cardamom/pumpkin spice.

Mix your dry ingredients in your cup. Add hot boiling water, and stir while pouring in the water. So you don’t get lumps.
If you like it neat and strong, drink it like that. Otherwise add some oat milk/almond milk, or milk of your choice.

Enjoy your day full of productiveness/alertness. ✨
