What's the case for persuing financial independence before developing a life purpose?

2 posts in this topic

Just a thought experiment to see other perspectives on this.

Do you think it is actually a more effective move to persue financial independence through a business for the sole purpose of making money and reaching a defined level of financial independence BEFORE developing and building a life purpose career?

For example, someone might want to be a spiritual teacher, but he would be more free to do this if he started a business for the sole purpose of becoming financial independent first, regardless of what the business was. This would maximize and fulfill stage orange before moving on to higher stages, and would prevent the spiritual teacher from struggling to make money from his career.

The same could be applied to any other case, right?

I also note this is the path Leo took, not that it matters, it's just  an example of this.

How can we successfully execute stage green or yellow life purposes before solidifying stage orange through financial independence, especially if you're young?

Would it not be better to spend a few years developing a business for the sake of financial independence before trying to develop a life purpose?

What's your thoughts on this?
