Movie Recommendations

28 posts in this topic

Thought I would create a thread for others to post what movies they have enjoyed the most. I am looking to watch more movies to have something to look forward to.

I personally like movies that include sci-fi, good stories, educational, better understanding of ego development/spiral dynamics, higher consciousness, emotional, twists, comedies,

I think some of the older ones can be the best

If you want a good horror movie the Grudge is the best I’ve ever see . Its a horror masterpiece the way it brings together sounds and imagery. They know what makes a person scared. Also I really like how distinctions collapse and things merge together in it. It was a high quality horror movie. Pretty rare. I don’t even want to say anything else I’ll spoil it?

But the first one not the new one. The new one is really just a cheap cash grab. Stealing elements from the previous movie that made it great, and sloppily placing them. It was soo lazy?

Did you saw Hereditary ?

Arrival, Interstellar, Mr Nobody, Inception, Spider Man No Way Home, Marvel Endgame, Harry Potter Prisoner from Azkaban, Passenger, Wall-E and The Prestige.

All these except HP are Sci-fi, most are Time Themed and if you are like me you enjoy the hundred of ways everything becomes absurd as soon as time is interfered with. Most of these movies also include VERY hard moral or life changing dilemmas.

The Red Shoes (1948)  is an amazing movie. Beautiful, thought provoking, ahead of its time. Wether you like ballet or not it's a worthwhile watch.

Tampopo (1985) is hilarious, unexpected, innovative, cool, unique.

The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014) is hilarious, spectacular, stylish, beautiful, colourful.

Arrival - Really great sci-fi tackling time, language, moral questions.

I Origins - Heavy stage orange scientist meets spirituality. One of my all time favorites.

The Green Mile - Absolute classic. It shows you what pure Love is.

Groundhog Day - It's quite a funny cautionary tale.
