What do you get from smoking?

idk shit about cigarette addiction in specific, but any health related addiction I had was always ultimately fixed when I took a look at the long term health effects of it. Go to google and look up the lungs of a cigarette smoker. Some people have also apparently quit from just 1 shroom trip.

Bottom line, smoking is not sustainable dude. You're gonna cause irreversible damage to your lungs and probably take years off your lifespan. Luckily, the lungs do a good job of quickly starting to heal themselves after you quit. The best time to quit is always NOW. Go find some subreddit about people trying to quit smoking as well, there will probably be useful information and you will get motivated as well. This is just one I found:

When you see a rose it is not that you go through a logical solipsism, 'This is a rose, and roses are beautiful, so this must be beautiful.' The moment you see it, the head stops running thoughts. On the contrary, your heart starts running. It is something totally different from the idea of truth." -Osho

Thank you for the advice and for the resource. Yeah maybe I should join a support group.

You just gotta keep trying man, don’t get down on yourself when you start again it’s a life long process once you start smoking. But be proud of yourself every time you try to stop, when you get the craving try to observe it but not give in, be stubborn not to give in and eventually it goes away, remember the beginning is always the hardest but the longer you don’t smoke the easier it gets to handle the cravings.

Once you stop smoking for 2 weeks become hyper aware of how you feel, you will notice that you feel fresh, energetic, enhanced senses, you’ll start to really like it and it will be easier for you not to go back although you will still have triggers.

I wish you luck buddy, like I said don’t be hard on yourself. Just keep trying.

A guy I used to work with told me that Alan Carr's book on how to stop smoking was incredibly helpful for his smoking cessation. Might be worth a read.

Research and then try the psychedelic called Iboga. It helps people to overcome addiction.

I second this. Heard from many-many sources that this book is the ultimate solution to smoking. No idea how accurate that is though, don't have personal experience with it.

Yeah you can. You just don't really want to.

It's the same as people who want to get rich but won't put in the years (YEARS!) of hard work. So what they really should say is "It'd be nice to be rich" - but they don't really want it. They just like to fantasize about it.

Also, how does it feel when you say "I'm to weak"? Does it feel good?

No it's not. Hard work is a very small factor of becoming rich. If you aren't lucky to be born in the right place, have good genetics, etc. good luck becoming rich.

Everybody can quit smoking. Not everybody can become rich.

Ok then replace the word "rich" with "get good at X"

If you could replace smoking with something, what would it be?

Maybe jerking off to porn and playing videogames.but that's also unhealthy. So ...

Alan Carrs Easy way to quit smoking.

I smoked 10-20 a day for 9 years. Read the book mutliple times. Haven't had a toke of a cigarette in 6 and half a years. The guy who wrote it was a chain smoking banker who smoked for decades then quit over night once he suddenly woke upto the insights in the book and saw through the nicotine addiction illusion.

Worked for me. Could work for you. You need a strong desire to quit though. I gave the book to multiple friends, some of them quit too, some of them just didn't read the book or read half the book then stopped reading because the reality of having the 'final cigarette' and never smoking ever again created fear in their minds. They still smoke.

Good luck.

lmfao.

@Someone here are you still doing no-fap?

Maybe stop smoking and fap instead of it. Also you could higher your caffeine-intake as compensation for you cigarettes with the long term perspective of quitting both?
