COVID brain fog

16 posts in this topic

I got COVID thursday last week (double vaxxed) and I was pretty ill for a few days afterwards. Now a week later, I still feel a bit lethargic and not completely mentally present. I would say the mental aspect is the most annoying one for me. Has anybody else experienced anything similar? How long did it take before you were back to normal again? I liked my brain before COVID so I hope I can get it back :)

Give your body the best environment for healing you possibly can.

I haven't had COVID but I know a little bit about illnesses. You want to avoid turning COVID into long COVID, because this would suck big time.

So rest, little mental exertion and digital stuff, meditation, breathing exercises, more sleep, lots of water, vitamins, low stress.

A week is not enough time. Give yourself more time to recover.

•⊱⊱⊱⊱✸⊰⊰⊰⊰••••••••••••••••••••••••••⊱⊱⊱⊱✸⊰⊰⊰⊰• ...

I suffered a lot of brain fog during my Covid . It lasted 4 weeks for me. I felt disillusioned and difficulty walking thinking.

My Covid lasted from January 29 to February 18.

The brain fog continued even after the major symptoms were gone.

During this time I wasn't sure about what I was posting. My posts were erratic and nonsense.

Take your time.

@Carl-Richard if you want a faster recovery then you need to drink lots of juices, that's the trick I used. I drank lemon juice, pomegranate juice, guava juice and orange juice. Drink them separately at intervals throughout the day and lots of water. So the inflammation is kept under control and brain fog tends to reduce a bit. It clears up the inflammation and makes you feel active enough to fight. Just try my tip. I wish you recovery, godspeed.

@Carl-Richard The Wim Hof breathing I feel helped me tremendously getting back to normal. I didn’t even do a lot, just a few rounds over the course of three days. My mental health and energy levels were so much better.

My covid lasted for 2-3 weeks and i lost my smell and taste senses, they eventually came back but it was weird.

However i suffered and still suffer to a lesser extent from long covid, i would sleep for 9 hours and wake up extremely tired and fatigued even tho i didn't do anything last day, extreme sleepiness and brain fog were big problems, i couldn't remember important things and i couldn't even remember what i was saying.

Been 6 weeks now but i got better so just give yourself some time and don't push yourself, sleep enough and get your vitamins and avoid any stress.

I had covid during my time in army. I had british variant if that's important. I was 2 weeks in this military hospital quarantined. Couple days I had loss of smell and sore throat. Biggest symptom was how much I was annoyed. I hated being there and missing out on stuff. Also I was alone. That sucked too. Some of my friends were together. But not any fog

I didn’t recover 100% from Covid for a solid 3 weeks.

The roommate who gave me it recently got another virus (the common cold), and that is really fucking with me. I can't tell based on my general condition if I'm about to get sick again or if I'm still affected by Covid.

I got my sense of smell back but everything smells different than it used to. I had the burnt toast smell, until I took lsd while I had covid I didn't know I had it yet. But after the lsd everything smelled like butterscotch and chocolate. And now that my smells all the way back everything has a different smell. Gas doesnt smell the same, coffee doesnt smell the same, weed doesnt smell the same. Its wack man.
