From Scandinavia to Spain, Europe is unmasking and moving on from COVID. Here’s who’s

England’s very last remaining COVID-19 restriction—required isolation after catching COVID—may soon be scrapped as the government attempts to push people back to normal life. And in Europe, England is far from alone in relaxing COVID rules.

The relaxation of restrictions spread across Scandinavia, as Sweden and Norway quickly dropped most of their own days later. Sweden scrapped almost all restrictions and testing for COVID-19, with minister of health Lena Hallengren telling Dagens Nyheter COVID would no longer be classified as a danger to society after the winter Omicron surge.

Norway, meanwhile, kept basic social distancing rules in place, but not much else, with curfews and caps on party capacity coming to an end. In all three Nordic countries, masks are no longer mandatory in any environment.

Not further south, either

Mask requirements are being dropped in Southern Europe as well. Italy and Spain both ended most of their outdoor mask mandates this week, only requiring them in crowded areas and in indoor public venues. Spain is also preparing to do away with counting COVID cases, and in early January Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez called on the European Union to consider treating COVID-19 as an endemic illness akin to the flu.

In Central Europe, countries are ending the use of COVID health passes. People in the Czech Republic are no longer required to show a vaccine pass to gain access to bars, restaurants, hairdressers, and sports events. The same sentiment is growing in the Baltics as well, as Estonia has said it will end vaccine proof for outdoor events starting next week.

State by state, Germany has been relaxing its COVID rules, as vaccine health passes and curfews end in the North. Next door, the Netherlands has signaled it may soon cease COVID curfews and restrictions, too.

France announced Friday that on Feb. 28 it will drop its own indoor mask mandate in places covered by the country’s vaccine pass—such as bars, restaurants, and theaters—though masks will still be required on public transportation.

And for its part, Belgium’s Consultative Committee is meeting Friday to determine if and when COVID restrictions can be relaxed.

Ready to reverse course

For the WHO, dropping mask requirements and ending quarantines is premature, as cases of Omicron only peaked in Europe in early February.

This is phase one. Digital Id will still be pushed to deal with the next concern. WEF and their partners have been investing way too much into the infrastructure to let this go. I'd get caught up on ESG's and boycott any company that implements this. Then again, I've just scratched the surface on this (ESG's) and so maybe I'm shortsighted, but in how I'm hearing people speak of it, coupled with all else that I see going on, this is appears to be the case.

Any idea what the cases are in those countries?  Especially Norway and Sweden?  Have we seen a rise since they loosened their restrictions compared to other countries (not that it's a 1-to-1 correlation as each country os different, thus other factors specific to that country counld be contributing as well... but good to get some idea perhaps).

@DreamVoid Thank you for asking

Consider the following. Note, much of what they present and speak to, it will sound "nice" or "positive" but ask yourself, what are the implications of all of this? where does it lead to? how would life look like?

https://www.weforum.org/press/2019/06/world-economic-forum-and-un-sign-strategic-partnership-framework/

"Digital cooperation – Meet the needs of the Fourth Industrial Revolution while seeking to advance global analysis, dialogue and standards for digital governance and digital inclusiveness."

Note the "fourth industrial revolution" was the name of a book written by Klaus Schwab. He is the founder and executive chairman of the World Economic Forum. Also note, with the UN comes the the WEF for they are in a "partnership" and so with one comes the other

Book: https://archive.org/details/the-fourth-industrial-revolution-schwab-2016/page/n4/mode/1up?view=theater

https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2021/01/davos-agenda-digital-identity-frameworks/

https://intelligence.weforum.org/topics/a1G0X000005JJGcUAO?tab=publications

When you see a businesses, international influential individuals or orgs, or political people speaking, and they happen to echo any of the information above, type in their name along with world economic forum in google/duck duck go, and in many cases I have found that they are a WEF "young global leader", "people", or a "partner".

https://www.weforum.org/partners#B (note how many banks are partners and this is just the on the, B, list. Also note the Gates Foundation and BlackRock and consider all that they have their fingers in)

https://www.younggloballeaders.org

Example:

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/business/2021/06/21/bank-england-tells-ministers-intervene-digital-currency-programming/

"only spent on essentials, or goods" "which government deems to be sensible"

Andrew Bailey - Executive Director Banking and Chief Cashier at the Bank of England.

"Mark Carney, the current governor of the Bank of England, will become UN special envoy on climate action and climate finance"

Many experienced digital id being presented as a way to deal with covid, and yet when you look a little more into this, you find it's to deal with all problems and ways of life, it's all encompassing. Consider this website in Canada and note that several of there, "Board of Directors Organizations" are WEF partners. (it's on the home page, scroll to the bottom)

https://diacc.ca/2016/11/22/dia-global-digital-economy/ (to find this, from the home page, go to the resources tab and then scroll the "press releases")

Here's a WEF "agenda contributor" / "people":

I URGE YOU ALL TO LOOK MORE CLOSELY AT THIS!

May we move beyond, left vs right, vaxxed vs anti-vax, my team vs your team, and unite to deal with this.

But first, we must become informed and so please if you any more questions, speak them!

@Johnny Galt Interesting. It definitely seems like the established parties of Europe are trying to push the digital ID.

In my country the Netherlands, the coalition tried with full force to get the 2D Corona Passport to be introduced. Even when the TU Delft (Technical University) released a research paper where the effectiveness of the 2D QR was proven to be minimal, they still tried to push it in.

But there was resistance from far left to far right in the parliament. Nobody wants it except the D66 and VVD, which are exactly the parties who associate the most with WEF and are very positive about the EU. what a "coincidence".

However I disagree with your sentiment that the WEF and Klaus Schwab is some big puppet master of them all. WEF is just a symbol for this collaboration of international neoliberal actors, where all of the globalist ideas come together in one "forum". Klaus Schwab was put as a chairman but he doesn't actually have much power. He just wrote a lot of books in the same style as the neoliberal ideologies about the future. so they put him as a chairman.

The real force behind all this are just neoliberals who have the majority of power positions in the current world. They truly think that uninhibited globalism is good for society and that we have to have those technocratic, socialistic and surveillance systems in place for the betterment of the world, which is how they rationalise to themselves that they can lie and push these systems on us without telling us the real reason. But I don't believe that they really have malicious intent.

This doesn't take away that I am almost completely against this WEF neoliberal agenda. It will not be good for the betterment of society. But I do believe that the neoliberals believe that they are doing good.

Thank you for sharing that. I'm curious about the parties you mention; I'll probably take a look into them. In regards to Klaus and the WEF, I view it all as proxy, and yet it's a body which we can identify.

That just got me erect :P To see the right and left uniting around a common cause.

@Sri McDonald Trump Maharaj why do say, "an awful silence". If you're moved, I'd like to hear more.

My thoughts are that they will attempt to implement it in stages. They will introduce, pull back, implement, pull back, and so forth. With concern for global warming some are suggesting an ID passport, which regulates one's activities, this would help to lower c02 emissions. All  the while :) WEF partners range form BP, Cargill, PepsiCo, Walmart, Chevron, Nestle, Aramco (Saudi Aramco) etc. https://www.weforum.org/partners

And in unrelating news, a young kid I work with, he shared how one of his teachers in school uses vegetable oil to run his old ford truck and the emissions are exponentially less. He's gets the oil for free from restaurants.

I see this pop up from time to time. This is coming out of Sweden/Spain - you going to sign up? :P
