"Joe Rogan must be censored" says media who lied about every war

18 posts in this topic

Leftist media outlets are asking for Joe Rogan to be silenced.

The very same people responsible for lying about useless wars that caused millions of deaths and $trillions wasted.

Whose misinformation is more dangerous?

It's laughable that soon the angry mob is going to decide who gets to go on the Joe Rogan podcast and who doesn't. Anyone who doesn't fit the woke agenda gets cancelled and sent to the gulags. And down the line the final result is that we are allowing a culture to be created where people will become more and more scared to voice their opinion.

RIP Roe V Wade 1973-2022 :)

@vizual I think that's the point.

And to think, those who have pumped out the most misinformation/propoganda, they are the ones claiming to be the arbiters of truth.

He’s a stand-up comedian and MMA commentator. Those are the things he can claim expertise on. He’s entertaining to listen to, but why do people take him so seriously? That’s what causes harm, IMO.

Same with Alex Jones. Why does anybody take him seriously?

It’s because mainstream news is so full of shit that he is a lot of people’s source of news.

No one is taking Joe Rogan super seriously.

Thats not his job. His job is to interview people and ask questions.

Then it's up to the viewer to decide what to think, like anything else in life.

The only reason Joe Rogan's news right now is because he invited two people on his show, one being the most published cardiologist in the HISTORY OF MEDICINE, and the other being the inventor of the technology used in the current mRNA vaccines.

Two highly credentialed men, that continuously supported what they were saying with peer reviewed studies and data.

Are they perfect ? No, they're not, but they're pretty intelligent dudes that are trying to disseminate information to the public in a time of mass censorship.

The media doesn't like this (who controls the media ?) and in turn people lose their shit because because they listen to the media.

Censorship has NO PLACE in a healthy society.

Zero.

People get shit wrong ALL THE TIME, it's part of the beauty of science and discovery.

Things are missed, mistakes are made, but it's ok because that's what science is, it's a process to learn a little more about the workings of the universe.

The media tries to have one believe that the government is the sole beholder of truth and that everything outside of that is nonsense.

It's a slap in the face to science and a slap in the face to good meaning intelligent independent people that don't conform to bureaucratic BS.

All voices need to be heard, we're not going to advance as a society if people aren't able to talk and share their ideas.

I don't want Joe Rogan to get canceled, but I'm glad he's getting a ton of shit for using his podcast in such a flagrantly irresponsible way. I'd be okay with JRE episodes that spread misinformation about Covid getting de-listed from Spotify (so that Rogan would have to find alternative ways of getting those episodes out, were he determined to do so). Similiar how to you can find porn if you go out of your way, but you can't find it on YouTube.

Rogan might call himself 'just' a comedian, but when you have 20 million people who take your opinion on these matters seriously (regardless if many of those people are morons), you don't get to use that excuse anymore.

Back in the 2000s and 2010s John Stewart tried playing that card that he was 'just' a comedian, despite the fact that The Daily Show was being used as a primary news source for tens of millions of people. If it rung hollow for John Stewart (who was much more responsible about how he used his media platform), it should ring hollow for Joe Rogan.

Pointing out that for profit media conglomerates are also problematic is a case of 'what about-ism', that doesn't change anything about the deserved criticism that Rogan's been receiving.

Also, do 'all' voices need to be heard? Does that include cigarette companies advertising to children? How about fascist propaganda that motivates individuals to commit hate crimes against their fellow citizens? Or does the notion of 'personal responsibility' not extend to how individuals choose to use their freedom of speech, even in instances where it causes lasting harm to other people?

Not bad for DONALD TRUMP.

But that's not a license to force people to take the jab and silence those discussions.

Censorship isn't bad.

But the wokes are taking it too far.

Vaccine also has a individual/personal side to it which is ignored. Not all individuals like to inject their bodies.

You have to respect that.

Else face the backlash.

Freedom is very personal to people.

I wonder how that guy and gal hacked it into their jobs?  Both are pretty unfunny and unintelligent.  I guess this is what the white liberal media likes.

A lot of assumptions in your post. "Flagrantly irresponsible way" "Lasting harm to other people" "Misinformation about Covid"

What exactly are you basing these things off of ?

Is it data, or your beliefs ?

I'm sorry but this is a scientific topic.

In science disagreement is very common and part of the scientific process. It's inevitable in the pursuit of truth.

Why are you comparing this to fascist propaganda and hate crimes ?

Have you actually looked at any of the information the two docs were citing ?

Again, these are two highly credentialed individuals that are supporting what they're saying with data and peer reviewed literature.

Is that really such a crime ? Shouldn't people be given full uncensored information and the opportunity to make decisions for themselves ?

Why advocate for anything other than that and get angry when things are said that don't align with your belief systems ?

This isn't religion. It's science, it's constantly evolving as new things are learnt.
