Guess How Much It Costs To Attend A Jordan Peterson Talk

@Leo Gura it costs more than your life purpose course

"Not believing your own thoughts, you’re free from the primal desire: the thought that reality should be different than it is. You realise the wordless, the unthinkable. You understand that any mystery is only what you yourself have created. In fact, there’s no mystery. Everything is as clear as day. It’s simple, because there really isn’t anything. There’s only the story appearing now. And not even that.” — Byron Katie

When people don't want to think for themselves, they will pay someone on stage to think for them. :)

Whats so wrong in wanting to learn from others, especially people who could be experts in their areas?

People all too easily surrender their sense of responsibility and start blindly following the expert.

That said, you can learn from others and contemplate for yourself, so no contradiction there.

@Opo Jordan Peterson’s 1 hour talk > Leo’s 25 hour course

Who cares? People don't have to go if they don't want to and thus don't have to pledge financially. Focus on how (semi-)government money is spent on bullshit, because that is your money.

You guys are completely clueless about how people benefit others. I hope everyone realizes the way you ridicule JP you can just as easily ridicule Leo or your favorite teacher from an alternate perspective.

I was never a fan of JP, but I had a friend who was inspired to take responsibility and get his life together by listening to JP's lectures. JP really inspired him to make positive changes in his life.

@Raptorsin7 yea but, there’s positive changes, which is all well and good, and then there’s truth, and jp doesn’t help lead you to truth. Well, I guess he could, if you realised he was full of ?. There’s actually some good helpful grains in his work to be fair to him to inspire positive changes in ones life. But again, positivity as a mindset is not the truth of reality

   Most important, for many people, is basic self help and whatever motivates them to the self actualisation journey and improving aspects of their lives. When survival is challenged, truth quickly disappears and becomes part of the background.
