Pops and cracks in brain while meditating and on psychedelics

5 posts in this topic

Whenever I am deeply in meditation or on pyschedelics or even sometimes weed, I focus on the center of my brain around where I think my pineal gland would be. This seems to build up pressure and it feels like its a small balloon inflating in my brain and then after like 15-30 seconds of focusing i feel and hear a small pop and the tension is released. Has anyone else experienced this and does it mean anything?

The pops do kind of feel pleasurable, like mini orgasms. I like to imagine they are beneficial

@Phil King Not exactly what you're describing, but I had pretty similar things happening, especially when in a deep meditative state on psychedelics. It feels like my brain is actually glotty and when I focus on the tension, I also hear crackly sounds and it feels like the whole tissue is released - like when you do fascia training. This feels like a physical as well as energetic process. Has been quite a while since I last experienced this, but I think it could be in the ballpark of what you're describing.
