What happens when I close my imaginary eyes?

When I close my eyes, everything goes dark. I know that they are imaginary but that is the effect I get. Does all of reality ceases to exist in that moment? Am I then closest to my true identity as pure conciousness?

Maybe believe is more accurate than know in this case, and maybe belief is why you’re thinking you’re not the consciousness in question of getting closer to.

Reality doesn’t cease to exist. All your other senses are present. You can touch, smell, hear, taste. You move about you’ll bump into things you can’t see. You’ve merely blocked out the visual field and that’s it. And it won’t be long before your closed eyes begin uncontrollably visualising other shit. Block out all other senses simultaneously and then your so called ‘objective’ reality will cease to exist. Easier said than done
