@mandyjw okey I'll try this out.

There are some veggies and fruits that I like of course but in my culture we eat that every day I'm kinda sick of it and I prefer tacos and pizza and burgers they taste better ?? I'm happy when I eat those (can't help it)

And I don't like veggies and fruits, I like chocolate and sugar juices and ice cream.

Maybe you can do a little visualisation and see what your health will look like 30 years from now I you continue that path. A bit of negative motivation may help push you towards eating a bit better and overtime as the taste buds adjust from sugar to natural carbs, you will start appreciating the healthy foods. It is not the ideal kind of motivation but it may help you start valuing your health more.

Give your body a time to get that dopamine spike from eating healthy foods. Your limbic system can be retrained over time.

Google "diabetes complication" and "colorectal cancer". I think in the world filled with toxins, chemicals and shit , eating unhealthy is a luxury nobody can afford anymore. Literally eating healthy is like second breathing if you wanna survive the shitstorm that agriculture and industry have submerged us in, toxins, pollutants and genotoxic chemicals.

Because if you can't fix this, how else are you going to actualise your full potential and share your gifts with the rest of us. It is impossible if you ignore your diet & health. Maybe journal on that a bit

@Michael569 yeah I know that stuff, I'm obese now and I'm scared of diabetes to be honest even though I'm young but that doesn't garanti anything

I've been on a diet before and I succeeded to lose 30 kg in a short amount of time I was happy with that and I maintained my new healthy weight for a while until covid year (2020) to now I started to eat bigger portions and put on weight i gained back all those 30 kilos ???

I don't know about bad motivation but I'll try my best... I have to.

@Wijuu no no no don't call it "diet" in form of "restrictive diet". What really has to happen is a lifestyle change. Eating that way has to become sustainable for the rest of your life. Any restrictive diet ends in yo yo, disrupts your metabolism and you'll gain that weight back in the long term.

Rather than a rapid caloric restriction diet, a change of lifestyle slowly over months will get you towards your goals. No food demonisation, no sudden aggressive elimination, no keto, no IF, no vegan, no fasting. But small day-to-day changes will create a powerful punch over time.

And addition of some physical activity is an absolute must at this point.

Yes I do swimming. It didn't really help cuz the food is 70% but I enjoy it still. I'm a fat fish in the water ?????? i think I can do what you said (I've done it before) maybe I lack the discipline cuz I have a huge appetite ?

Again, I can make tacos, pizza and burgers fantastically healthy. Small changes over time. Youi don't have to give up what you like, adapt it over time.

@Wijuu get this book . It helps to also have blender & food processor.

Perfect recipes. Has alternatives for burgers, falafels, Quesadillas, burritos, mac& cheese, super tasty healthy deserts etc. I've basically learned how to cook healthy based on this one book.

It might be helpful to learn a bit about ghrellin - 'the hunger hormone'.... I've been practicing intermittent fasting for quite some time... I don't need to lose weight - I'm in pretty good shape, but I still do IF as it has a host of other health benefits... one of the things that helped me was learning about what's actually happening in my body when I get 'hungry'... it's not that my body needs food/fuel - it's just a biochemical part of the circardian rhythm... at first IF was hard because I got hungry every day at midday, but after a couple of weeks the ghrellin system adapted and I just didn't get hungry outside of my 'eating window' anymore... it doesn't take that long to reprogram your body's cycles, but yes, it will be uncomfortable at first...

@ZenRising @Michael569 hey, well yes I did fasting before and it didn't help a lot cuz at the end of the day I'm super hungry which makes me eat more than usual, i basically gained weight from that cuz I eat everything : sandwiches, sugar, pastries etc... Keto might be good cuz there isn't much deprivation in it you still get to eat meals you like... I get frustrated and angry when i deprive myself so much and don't get all the results I want like so much hard work for so little results.. Pfff ?

short-term, not long-term. Most people find Keto unsustainable. And it is one of the worst diets for your long term health because id deprives your gut microbiota of complex carbohydrates (at least the way most people do keto). Eating so much fat & meat will probably cause you lots of health problems down the road.

@Michael569 @ZenRising @Michael569@Michael569 yes that's correct. My doctor warned me about meat. I don't that much of it really only about 5 times a week in small quantities so I'm not worried about that. Also i want to give myself time and not lose weight so fast cuz that's just unhealthy. So I'd lose few kilos a month but sustain it and I'm as well thinking long term. Results from harsh diets don't last. ??

@Wijuu seems like you already know all the right answers :) The next step is the implementation of the information into practice. I think with the info shared by people in this threat you should have more than you need to get started on the journey towards becoming healthier.

All the best !

Have you ever tried Hypnosis?

Sounds like your subconscious beliefs need to change, as well as learning about diet etc,

I know people who used it for smoking successfully and they were massive addicts, I'm testing it out atm for Porn even though I've mostly quit just to see if changing the subconscious does really help!

I've started using binaural beat subliminials at night and I believe it's making a big impact.

I had an experience where I listened to binaural beat self esteem subliminals before work, and I was effortlessly socializing with my coworkers
