Is the law of attraction real or a scam?

39 posts in this topic

@Leo Gura is the law of attraction real or is it a scam created by new age gurus to earn money. I know you made videos about the law of attraction years ago but now since you are more woke what do you think of law of attraction? Is it true the way we think or feel will determine what our reality will be in the future?

Hello, I have some notes here, along with music/visual examples on how LOA works - albeit pretty simplified.

It is real, but when you become a master in it, you will realize that it is not a Law but a merely just a method.

It is entirely possible to create your own methods, in the same way that a computer programmer might create their own programming languages.

Law of attraction, actually, simply says that life is a dream and you can learn how to go lucid.

Law of attraction is a scam. It is working very well for some authors who are writing about it, because naive people are buying their books and courses.

So Law of attraction was very good for few narcissists but for majority of people? Nah

I've seen someone talking about few tips how to earn 100 million dolars, using LoA, but we have to buy his course... It's a scam and it has nothing to do with authentic spirituality, but it has everything to do with ego...

100% effective and a fundamental for creating any type of good life.

Remove old karma and baggage, and then focus on what you want at the same time.

Clean Old Desires/Add New Healthy Desires.

Make a “Visionboard” photo album on your phone, add images that inspire you, and look at it daily. It takes literally 30 seconds to swipe. Watch in 3 weeks, things may change drastically, like it did for me. I went from suicidal everyday to thriving by looking at this for 3 weeks. All my action is effortless, because I know what I want. It’s no question of what to do anymore.

Law of attraction says you get the reflection of what you believe most strongly to be true, and if you understand that reality is a dream, that reality is consciousness, then you understand that of course the frickin law of attraction is real.

my issue with this is

there's not just "what you believe in" "what you think, feel" etc.

there's also the subconscious, instincts, the reptilian brain and many other layers probably

there are different personalities within you who want different things

so how does that play out with the "law of attraction"?

Good point. I feel like it becomes much more effective the less fractured the psyche is. I would say it has to levels of working: the psychological way, where expressing thoughts which then bubble down into your subconscious change deep belief structures, as would hypnosis (like "I am safe", "I am beautiful" etc.). The other way is the way of grace - it is the way offering thoughts to God with utmost honesty and desire for Truth and Love, just as prayer does. In fact, the only time LoA really works for me is if it is authentically framed in an attitude of devotion, love and surrender to God.

Yeah of course it is not as easy as "just think positive thoughts and create a good life", yeah your subconscious must change for a true change. But it does not mean law of attraction is not real, it is real, but it is not as simple as "just think positive thoughts".

Oh yes... :D

Better use it consciously rather than unconsciously. It happens whether you believe in it or not.

Everything can be used as an object of a scam. There are scamers and there are people that actually teach you stuff.

Read and apply the science of getting rich and the ask and it's given for a while as an experiment and find out for yourself.

It's a whole approach to life that you can practice and master. Things like being grateful and seeing the positive sound like bs because of shitty new age books that milk people but these things will change your life.

No, it does not.

It's just a magical thinking.

Law of attraction by it self is worthless, but combined with the law of providing tangible value for others. Then it will work. Loa is the theory. Or the vision. Law of value is the skill and the action.

If you get the idea to watch some porn you will see the law of attraction manifest before your eyes. @Nahm @Antor8188

LOA is not something I invest too heavily in when watching guru's on YT. The basic pseudoscience can be beneficial to the right individual but most are completely wasting their time putting it into practice. It's good for people who aren't naturally pessimistic who believe in themselves. The "if you say it to yourself enough then it will happen," doesn't work for everyone. Simply put, it can work but I'm seeing more who are failing horribly by simply thinking that having positive thoughts about money will magically manifest money or wealth. That only comes with putting in the work. It's being used as a scam but it does have some benefits to the right person.

Aren't we basically just attracting what we resonate with. I'm pretty sure if two loose objects are vibrating at the same frequency they literally gravitate towards eachother like gravity. Or like magnetism or something
