Why did I imagine an earthquake?

30 posts in this topic

Yesterday, there was an earthquake near my city. It wasn't a pleasant experience, everything was shaking for couple of seconds. Luckily, there was no damage. Why did I imagine something like that? What was the purpose of it?

To imagine it.   Why do you dream stuff in your dreams at night?

Because you're a drama King.

So I was just playing with myself, enough to scare me but not kill me.

Stop thinking you understand what is meant by imagination. Your ego is playing games.

Trying to wake yourself up in a poetic way.

Was that worth it if somebody got hurt? Isn't there a less dangerous way to do it?

I wasn't talking about my ego-self, I know that God does the imagination.

If you really knew that, then you wouldn't ask such foolish questions. ;)

Maybe they seem foolish but I'm still in the process of learning. I was hoping I can get answers here because people on this forum know about this stuff.

The answer is obvious, but you're thinking about it too much.

That could be the case but I'm always looking for hidden explanations. Maybe I should just accept that it had no deeper meaning but that doesn't seem enough for my curiosity.

Causality is imaginary. Just like everything else in the dream.

If the finite mind were a hand, and you were to look into the actual cause of the earthquake, and the cause of that, and of that and of that, eventually that hand would appear to come from the other direction and slap your face. Because of course, the hand is your face. The knower tries to understand and make sense of what the knower knows, because a knower can not know there is no knower. The Humpy Dumpty trap, trying to make a whole of pieces.
