Why do people reject being God

But the true blasphemy is disowning your self, your power, your nature.

Then show us your powers.

What a mess it would be if everyone would have God-powers. Everyone would use their infinite power against each other to get what they want.

Accepting "I am god" as a belief simply leads to a big spiritual ego.

One becomes god by disappearing into it, and then there's no one to claim "I am god".

Only the ego claims it when it comes back.

To be righteous is to reject God. To neither accept nor reject righteousness and be free of it is to abide as God.

xD I don't know... Totally a story, but it's what seemed to want to be said.

Because for most there's identification with the body-mind. And indeed, as long as there is self-image and identification with one part of reality (the body-mind) to the exclusion of the rest, then the claim 'I am God' doesn't sit well with us. For good reason. In that case, saying that you are a part of God feels more truthful.

'I am God' is a misleading claim, because it comes out of a mouth which is attached to a body, and makes it seem like 'I' am excluding parts of reality (I am God, not you, not the sky, etc.).

But there are no parts. So 'All is God' is less misleading. It's still just a concept and doesn't mean anything until there's an awakening.
