 I've known dreams are "real" through direct experience for a quite some time now via precognitive dreams, as well as a highly vivid and solid dream I once had. Really, dreams are the same as waking reality though. The difference is totally illusory but it's surprising to me there are any scientists who have a degree of awareness of this truth.
