Fear. Book. Must read ???

9 posts in this topic

I'm approximately 10 pages into this book and you know when something is so good you have to go back and read the page again because it's unbelievably insightful. Well, that X10. Highly recommended. Changing my life already.

@Charlotte

Fear should always signal action to us.

Facing fear leads to our faces never looking fearful again.

If fear gets us to withdraw and give up, then we are enslaved by it.

But if we master it with continuous actions, it becomes like a guide, like a second intuition.

I have faced fears in the past but they gave returned for the same action. Would that indicate I have not actually faced the fear?

You did face the fear.

But maybe it´s just deeper rooted then just facing it.

Maybe it also entails letting go of something.

maybe it entails letting yourself feel the emotions and understand a certain incident in the past for example.

Maybe your imagination is just very vivid and you actually fear the images in your mind and not what actually happens in reality.

Fear is a very broad and deep topic.

Its way more then just a response from our nervous system to outward stimuly.

Just feel into the fear, write down where you think it might be coming from and contemplate it.

Fear is often caused by ignorance in some way.

A lack of understanding of our own psyche.

It may also be a defense mechanism.

Like i said. Fear is very deep and nuanced.

Just try different things and see what works.
