Tip for doing the dishes when you're depressed

6 posts in this topic

For whoever needs this...

If you're depressed or maybe you have ADHD and struggle doing basic chores like the dishes:

clean just one or two

And that's it. You don't have to do the whole pile. Cleaning one dish will help you feel better about yourself because you did the thing despite your state.

One dish is often very doable even in super challenging times.

Also, it's OK if you can't even do one. It's just nice to have options if you're being hard on yourself for not cleaning at all.

I love this trick because I often find myself cleaning several dishes anyway even though I never expected to. :)

everything is like that too, girl. you don't need to focus on the hugeness of the goal, focusing on doing it piece by piece will make a huge pile of shits getting done.

@Flowerfaeiry

I completely agree.

Doing the littlest of things can help.

That is not always obvious beforehand, but it works.

I love you infinitely. I will find you forever in every life time because you and me are one. You and me eternally breathing life and bluming
