Deep contemplation has got me confused and I'm scared

11 posts in this topic

The new agers are telling me this, the Christians this, and the scientists this. It is all so confusing and scary. I'm begging to wonder if all this philosophizing is just a waste of time, just like Osho said.

Ok.

Now after hearing them all, tell us what YOU think.

Listening to people is not contemplation.

You are God. You are Love. You are Infinity. You are Leo.

I'm contemplating on their points and positions. And more.

There is a type of contemplation where you simply ask yourself a question and your mind starts churning out answers from the blue. You don't actually know if the answer is true or not, but you simply set it as a hypothesis and then you try to find another answer that could support or validate that answer. You know which hypothesis to pursue by feeling it intuitively. Even if the starting hypothesis is wrong, you'll be wiser off than when you started, because intuition is like God's breadcrumb trail; it is always leading you somewhere interesting even if you don't yet know exactly where.

To balance beauty and complexity so perfectly is a divine mystery.

Sit with the confusion, contemplate that. What is it teaching you?

For me confusion says: don't hold onto your beliefs too tightly, there is truth in all points of view, no one is right all the time, be flexible in thought, carry on anyway, confusion comes before clarity and so on.

Consiousness is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is.

I would say to also verify these things with your direct experience.

Yeah it's a lot to sift through to find out what you believe when there are so many viewpoints coming through.

Follow your heart and your gut, if it feels right, investigate, if it feels wrong it's not for you.  Kind of like eating something with a food allergy, if it creates a bad reaction then there is something vibrationally not a match.

What sort of ideas are you having issues grappling with?
