Ejaculation is fine. Once a guy does that, he won't feel like doing it immediately after. So he can feel pretty free for days following. 

Your recommendation of once a year or few weeks simply looks ridiculous because that's too much represssion. 

  I'm no guide for men. 

I guess masturbation is much healthier than nofap if done moderately. 

Nofap can lead to frustration but in shorter frequent periods might help to control the desire and keep it down to bare necessary. Thus removing the need to be hyper aroused and more in control. 

Shorter nofap combined with masturbation might be the best way to approach the whole thing. Periods of sexual arousal inundated by periods of control. Like a rhythmic flow

@flowboy You mean to masturbate upto the point of ejaculation and then stop right away? I think only in this way can masturbation and ejaculation be different. If I'm wrong can you please help me understand? I can't get what you say.

@capriciousduck  Yes, that's exactly what I mean and how I do it. When I get too close, I slow down. Or even take a break.

This is the unadvanced perspective. I know that's how most guys do it, but it reinforces the compulsion to masturbate (addiction, basically), whenever they feel horny. They are a slave to their impulses. And additionally, it weakens them. They aren't living their full potential as a man, they could be way stronger, more decisive, more motivated, and also more sensitive and compassionate, if they didn't have a compulsion to make themselves cum whenever they feel something down there.

@flowboy Then wouldn't masturbating become addictive? Isn't there a chance of it becoming addictive? Let's say one day it's not possible to just masturbate(maybe because of work or something), then wouldn't the mind crave for it?

Another question. Do wet thoughts come because of repressed cravings? If I just masturbate without ejaculating(in the way you said) would the dreams subside?

In my experience, the addictive aspect is connected to ejaculation. It's an easy way to not have to look at sensations and feelings that come up. I can just make myself ejaculate and poof, they go away. I don't have to introspect or learn anything.

Leaving out the ejaculation, what's left is giving yourself some healthy space to feel into your sexuality. Feeling your sexdrive, appreciating the force of it, enjoying the sensations, but letting yourself keep your power.

It becomes less addictive, especially if you also cut down on visual material.

Because there is no goal to get to, it becomes a more meditative, mindful experience to connect with your sexual core as a man.

You might not want to do it every day anymore. That's okay. But you'll still feel the force of your full sex drive, your full life energy, behind your actions during the day. Others feel that too.

If you can stick to cumming only every 3 weeks, you can experience profound changes. Attracting people can become effortless. Anxiety will go down.

 

And again, being able to have that self control of enjoying, but not spilling, puts you a cut above all other lovers she's had.

If I ever told a man whatever you said, he would call me crazy lol. Is this new trend or something?

@Preety_India It all depends on who you hang out with. I know a lot of people through (westernized) tantra, which is trendy in spiritual circles in Europe. Basically all of them live like this. People who practice tantric sex also practice semen retention. It's all about slowing down, removing the goal, enjoying the desire itself rather than the gratification. An attitude that trickles through into every aspect of life. It's a different type of vibe for sure.

Today is my 6th day of nofap. Are there any other things that I have to put in my mind always to keep the nofap going? I mean If one thinks into future what obstacles there would be to pull me into jerking off again? I mean any scientifically proven things that do pull me back again? Like homeostasis? Chaser effect?
