Easily Google-able, this is not a tech support forum.

But really it's going to vary depending on which editing software you decide to use. Based on this post, I'm guessing you aren't even at the point of selecting a specific editing software yet. So first Google that.

@RendHeaven I don't have any shooting equipment and I don't think I can afford it either.

No you'll need a laptop to use most strong video editors, including Shotcut.

If you have a laptop, I strongly suggest sending over your raw recording from android through google drive or something.

If you don't have a laptop, I can't really help you but there probably are some video editors in the android app store... just don't expect them to have capability.

All you really need to start is just a smart phone :)

Laptop with a free video editor is secondary.

Third comes microphone, tripod, lighting, blah blah blah. Ignore this.

Also some of my videos are having captions and some of them don't have options.

Why is that ?

And how to get captions for one's videos ?

From Youtube support:

"If your video doesn't generate automatic captions, it could be due to one or more of the following reasons:

The captions aren't available yet due to processing complex audio in the video.

Automatic captions don't support the language in the video.

The video is too long.

The video has poor sound quality or YouTube doesn't recognize the speech.

There’s a long period of silence at the beginning of the video.

There are multiple speakers whose speech overlaps."

My take is to just be patient and see if they auto-generate after a couple hours pass.

Try Camtasia. Have used it before for creating Youtube tutorials.

When you go to upload your video, there is an option to upload a custom thumbnail on the same page where you add title, descriptions, and tags.

It has to be under a certain size though. So, be sure to be mindful of that.

Also, there are many free editors where you can make your own thumbnail. Canva would probably work well for it. There was also one called PicMonkey.

I usually use Photoshop myself... but I've also used Canva and PicMonkey before and both are pretty good.

@Preety_India Just out of interest, I'm looking to get into youtube content creation, do you know how much VAT you pay on x amount?

I know you get 8p per view? So if I got 1 million views thats £800,000 & going off the this Calculator for VAT at 20% I'd get 168000.00 is that right?

Or are my calculations well off haha?

@LouieShill I don't monetise. I refused payment.

It's a personal channel.

I'm not looking for business, subscribers or view count or likes. I don't want any of that.

The channel is started for my spiritual growth.
