Opinions on ivermectin?

I watched Bret Weinstein with another guy on Joe Rogan. They presented a case for the efficacy of ivermectin in treating and preventing covid. Thoughts? Anything to disprove it? (No YouTube link)

The drug has very few side effects, so even if it can help you 1% it doesn't hurt to take it if you have been tested positive for covid
