Tried to do it twice but the questions are just too stupid. They could be interpreted in too many ways.

I took the quiz but this website has trouble uploading the images. It says I’m a syndicalist.

@DocWatts what's the difference between social dem and Marxist?

Social Democracy is the socio-economic system that exists in the Scandinavian countries (Norway, Sweden, etc) and in most of Western Europe.

A Social Democracy is still a Capitalist system, but one where the State takes a much more active role in providing for the well being of its Citizens than in a country like the United States. This usually includes a generous social safety net including Universal Health Care, much stronger protections for Worker's Rights and Collective Bargaining (Unions), and stricter regulations on Corporations. Necessities such as Education, Health Care, and Utilities tend to be divorced from Market mechanics, and are treated as public (rather than private) goods.

Or to put it more simply, Social Democracy can be thought of in some ways as a blend of capitalism and socialism (this isn't strictly accurate, but it does at least paint a decent picture of how it operates in practice).

By contrast any Marxist economic system have the means of production publicly (rather than privately) owned. How this would operate is that factories and industries would be owned and run by the government, which in turn is controlled by the citizens of said country.

In a Marxist economy there would no longer an Owner Class (who has access to Capital) and a Worker Class (who must rent out thier labor for Wages), because Capital would be a public good, and in theory everyone in the Society would own the means of production. Im theory workers would be much less dehumanized, and be connected to the products of thier Labor in a much more meaningful way.

Marxist economies also strive to be more self sufficient than Capitalist economies, and would try to avoid relying on exploitation of Labor abroad to meet thier Material needs.

That's the basic gist of it anyways. There are different types of Marxist economic Theories, just as there are different types of Capitalist economies. I'm sure someone who's delved deeper in to Marxist Economic Theory could give you a more nuanced definition than the one I've provided.

I'm curious as to how the anti-Union crowd think that things which are taken for granted today like: weekends, an 8 hour work day, and workplace safety procedures came about, if not for Labor activism by Unions.

To say nothing of how America was able to build a prosperous Middle Claas in the 20th Century...
